i know you were. But if you think having 45 Repubs in the Senate (if we keep that many) will make Obama a lame duck, think again.

If the GOP is serious about this election there's one thing they can do to salvage their ability to filibuster, tell American citizens that as long as the Rats don't allow drilling they will allow nothing else to pass using the filibuster.

So just how much does Texas piss away on needed projects? Alaska needs some roadways, a good place to start is at the population center. Namely,a bridge from Anchorage to Knik side.

Look at your roads

Versus on of our major roads.

and potential to do something...

We are about to go whole-hog and get involved in a project that will take 50 years to build, and that our descendants will be paying for, for the next 100. Trust me, many of us are not happy that our chunk of the international super-corridor is going to be dang expensive.

With that said, Alaska has a population of less than 700,000 while Texas has around 24 million (not to mention the NAFTA traffic that I-35 gets). Our roads are used by a helluva lot more people and so the tax-base would cover a lot more than some of the misguided bridge projects in Alaska.

Alaska needs some roadways, a good place to start is at the population center.

I lived in Alaska for about a year, and I will admit that bridges would be nice, however ferries are much more cost effective. That's just the way it is.

Even Sarah Palin said the bridges were getting ridiculous and cancelled them.

Problem with 99% of the projects around America, talking and spending in circles, yielding no results. One of the biggest costs anymore is the envirowhacks. they file injunction upon injunction to stop things America needs. POS want to make it Amerika their way, and they are without a clue. Case in point, Not one envirowhack has ever made me a nickel, but man oh man, have they cut a holw in all of our pocketbooks!

Palin is a breath of fresh air. Bill Allen and his company (VECO) have been one of the worst things to happen this state. Stand by for the dimowits to continue to try and socialize the state after Bill cast an ugly light upon anything with a shade of republican (RINO) on it.
