VOIGHT: My concerns for America Obama sowing socialist seeds in young people (WOW!!!)
The Washington Times ^ | 28 Jul 08 | Jon Voight

Posted on 07/28/2008 9:56:59 AM PDT by elhombrelibre

We, as parents, are well aware of the importance of our teachers who teach and program our children. We also know how important it is for our children to play with good-thinking children growing up.

Sen. Barack Obama has grown up with the teaching of very angry, militant white and black people: the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Louis Farrakhan, William Ayers and Rev. Michael Pfleger. We cannot say we are not affected by teachers who are militant and angry. We know too well that we become like them, and Mr. Obama will run this country in their mindset.

I think so too. I'm old enough to remember when many movie stars actually liked America and wanted the best for the US.

At least you don’t have Kramer’s ride with those famous plates.

These reminiscences of the movie Deliverance just make me want to out and practice with my compound bow.

It wouldn’t be so bad, Hildy, if the libs weren’t beating us to death in the media by a ratio of 100:1.

If it were an even playing field, things would be different. As it is, we’re lucky if we get even one supporter in Hollywood.

I like him. I’m not surprised that she doesn’t. :)

My thoughts exactly. Neither of his kids even speaks to him, I think. According even to himself, he was a terrible father and husband. Ironic he should write an article about raising good kids. Makes a person think the thing to do would be the opposite of whatever he says to do.

Not a bad idea. National Treasure (both) were smashing successes. If people could put a name to the face...

Surprising. This is why an artist should keep their political views to themselves. I’m sure he’ll have trouble finding work for the next ten years.

I’ve always thought that Jane Fonda was among America’s finest actresses. Since I’ve learned of her political views, you couldn’t pay me to see her movies.

My only fault of Jon is the white scarf that he continues to wear with his tux. Those of us who wear tuxes can tell you that it cheapens the look of the tux.

And I'm sure you do exactly that. Must be nice to never have made mistakes in your life.

I think he'll still find work and, if I'm wrong, maybe he'll have to retire a wealthy man.

Regardless what we think of his political beliefs, at least we all can agree that Jon Voight sure has a pretty mouth.

What is he getting a doctorate in? Your son is in too deep in the liberal social whirl. Everything he does justifies his liberal take on life. He is too successful and liking his life too much

IMHO

My 80 year old Mom made the mistake of mentioning we need to drill for oil. He considers himself enviro sensitive. He started going off on her about caribou. Needless to say, she was taken aback.

Her only comment was “I guess I won’t mention things like that anymore since I am always told how wrong I am. How did I live 80 years being wrong all the time?”

Thats how it is. Poor Mom. She didn’t realize the reaction. I told her, well ya know, thats why we have kids, so we can learn everything we didn’t know. LOL

“Yes, I saw that too, but I think she and her father were estranged for a long time. I don’t know why.”

Parents divorced and apparently child support payments were supposedly an issue. Mother, God rest her soul, may have poisoned the well.

He’ll be booed off the stage next time if ever, he addresses the academy awards as a presenter or nominee.

Played a great attorney in that movie with Mickey O Rourke.

He is very well into the whirl, and what you say is just about the way it is.
