Should read: “like a lot of us were”
Sounds like just an attempt to sabotage McCain’s campaign in October.
Someone needs to produce a movie called “Barry:
Will Smith as Barack Obama
Regina King as Michelle Obama
Hugo Chavez as Jeremiah Wright
A touching story about a recluse, coke-using young man as he journeys through life, supported by his rich white grandparents, as he finds love, hate, and inspiration, reading Karl Marx and listening to his screeching wife.
This is just embarrassing.
Now, Mr. Stone, about Barack Obama....
And this is supposed to make people vote for the Dems in November? If I were a college guy watching this movie, I’d be rooting for Dubya! “Hey, those Republicans are party animals!”
Still waiting for the epochal Stone film on what really went on in the White House during JFK’s “Camelot” era...
James Cromwell as H.W. ?
I enjoy his work, but I don’t see that working. Of course, given the timing of the movie’s release, I’m pretty much 100% sure to skip it anyway.
BTW, Thandie Newton (Condi Rice) is slated to play Uhura in the next Star Trek movie. /trekkiegeekness
remember Michael Moore’s “farenheit 9/11”? It was intended to sway voters AGAINST W., but it actually gained more sympathy for Dubya PLUS it showed what kind of arrogant pricks the lefties were.
More character assassination from an overrated director who got down on all 4’s when Fidel and Chavez were in the same room with him.

About the Movie
Citizens United Productions examines the phenomenon that is Barack Obama. HYPE: The Obama Effect examines the Junior Senator from Illinois and his record. Is he the new Kennedy or recycled Jimmy Carter? Is he the one who will finally change Washington, or will challenges like the Tony Rezko trial reveal politics as usual? Is he the uniter the country begs for, or a liberal divider? HYPE: The Obama Effect seeks the answers...
Cromwell’s a far-left idiot.
From Wikipedia:
He has long been an advocate of leftist causes. In the late 1960s he was a member of “The Committee to Defend The Panthers”, a group organized to defend 13 members of the Black Panther Party who had been imprisoned in New York on charges of conspiracy. All thirteen were eventually released. In a 2004 interview with CNN.com, Cromwell praised the Panthers.[7] For the 2008 Presidential Election, Cromwell has endorsed Illinois Senator Barack Obama.

This looks like a huge failure in the making.
Omarosa would do a great job portraying Michelle.
Remember when Oli Stone got pissed off about “Alexander” when it bombed in the US?
He went to the Euro press and whined like a little girl about Americans not understanding the “gay kiss” scene.
Exactly. This movie could be about me (except for the President part).
Man, do I ever smell a real bomb here.
Jack Bauer’s father as Dubya’s father?
The problem with any bio movie that’s more or less contemporaneous is that it’s difficult to buy the casting no matter how well acted the movie is. Everybody is too familiar with the real people’s faces to “suspend disbelief” and get into the characters. All anybody will see is the actors acting. That’s always a recipe for a sure loser.
Just how does a bad movie about W help the Repugnican party? The sheeple are going say"oh man that was disrespectful, I will vote for Mccain!!!!" or " I will vote for a Repugnican senator now because that movie was BAD!"
Was I speaking to you?
Cedric
Yeah, I knew he [Cromwell] was pretty radical. Dreyfuss (Cheney) is pretty out there, too.
And then there’s Ollie Stone himself, of course...
