Iran's OPEC governor said world oil prices could reach as high as $500 per barrel in a few years' time if the dollar falls further and political tension worsens, an Iranian weekly said.

The International Energy Agency (IEA)said Thursday that thanks to the strategic stocks managed by the IEA, it could compensate an eventual loss in Iran's oil exports for one year and a half.
"If ever, for whatever reason, there was a loss of supplies from Iran, which represent around 2.7 million barrels per day (bpd), strategic stocks managed by the IEA ... would be able to compensate for those lost 2.7 million bpd for a year and a half," IEA's executive director Claude Mandil told French BFM radio.

I think a safer bet is 60 dollar oil for a long time once their politics are over (hopefully within 60 days of the new presidency).
They cannot hold the west at ransom forever over oil let alone nuclear arms not one year, not 5 years plus $500.
But, why does America have to carry the burden and blame of the globally progressive G7?????

We send a select delegation of NBA (National Basketball Association) players to negotiate with Iran.
I mean, if Iran is going to keep trash talking, we should send a group of Americans who trash talk better than anyone in the world.

point is if you remove their threats against world peace, and strangling the strait..... oil would be much cheaper.

Remove the threat, and the prices should adjust with stabilization.
We could de-populate the whole country and take the oil in less than 18 months.
