“Obama’s campaign has long recognized that his weakness is the perception of Obama as soft on the military and weak on patriotism. His week-long trip foreign trip was designed to showcase Obama’s stature and ability to operate as commander-in-chief.
His snub of the wounded and his campaign’s confused and malicious response shows that they believe his image in the minds of the voters back home has been gravely wounded.”
We can only hope and pray!

Your lips to God's ears, kristinn. I hope the media continues to keep discussing the gaffes he and his 'staff' make, and it finally opens their eyes to just how far down the path they've traveled to abject socialism.

THis sort of action is nothing new..
He was asked point blank when he visited the holocaust museum what he would do to ensure no second holocaust, and his response was “This isn’t the venue to answer that”... and of course he never answered the question.
Really Mr Fauxbama? The Holocaust Museum is not the place to stand up in front of and say NEVER AGAIN? I’d call you a shill, but shills have more depth.

Yesterday, the Obama campaign put out two conflicting reasons for canceling the visit. One blamed the Pentagon, the other said Obama chose not to visit over concerns the stop would be seen as political. And the third (aka "real") reason is that he didn't want to be perceived as pro-American by visiting the people whose efforts and sacrifices have allowed him to assume his current elevated position of "messiah"-in-chief!

Not gravely enough for my taste. I would prefer the word Fatally wounded.

That’s another stark difference between Obama and President Bush.
President Bush visited Walter Reed Hospital to meet wounded soldiers many times WITHOUT any notice to the press corp.

I just left a message for a Lt. Col. at the Pentagon press office to whom they directed me. I will try to get to the bottom of the rumors that McCain colluded with the Pentagon. That nonsense needs to be cleared up immediately.

Very nice. Obama blows off his visit to wounded soldiers once he realizes there's no photo op involved. Then his campaign lies about it, saying the the Pentagon cancelled. The Pentagon responds that the decision was made by the campaign, not by them. The Obama campaign and its media affiliates float bogus tales implicating McCain by way of trying to change the focus of the story.
Obama's innate contempt for the military and for the truth are on full display here - at least for anyone who follows the blogs...

The Pentagon has responded to reporters queries saying that Obama was welcome to visit as a senator and would be able to bring a senate staffer with him, but no campaign staff (or media). That's a pretty hefty smack across the chops, if you ask me.
