Good morning, Everyone. Good morning

Thank you, Ma, for preparing the Canteen for today’s activities.

Time for our local DC Metroland weather report

~ Today....Sunny. High 89F. Winds ESE at 5 to 10 mph.

~ Tonight....Mostly clear. Low 68F. Winds SSE at 5 to 10 mph.

Wake up, everybody.......IT'S FRIDAY!

That means music, fun, and mayhem!

Speaking of fun,Look Here

I think we should have some Trivia today, don't you? Yeah it's been a while, but hey, Beachy's been busy! Okay, stand back

FIRST
Fact of the Day
The dark spots on the moon that create the benevolent "man in the moon" image are actually basins filled 3 to 8 kilometers deep with basalt, a dense mineral, which causes immense gravitation variations.

SECOND
Today In History ..... July 25, 1909
Louis Bleriot of France crossed the English Channel in a 28-hp monoplane with a wingspan of just 23 feet. It was the first time that trick had been accomplished. Actually, it was the world’s first international, overseas flight.

And Finally
Baseball's American League was organized on January 29, 1900, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Eight teams comprised the new league: Buffalo, Chicago, Cleveland, Detroit, Indianapolis, Kansas City, Milwaukee, and Minneapolis.

Okay, that's enough for now. I don't want you all to get over-excited and trash the Canteen or be too stressed out to enjoy the weekend. hehe

Time for me to make my rounds. But, you stay right where you are. Don't touch that dial. Don't change that channel. Put down that remote. Don't leave the room. Keep your eyes on your monitor. Cause...............I'll be bock!

And, for the rest of you………..

Now remember, the Canteen is ALWAYS

So, come on in and sit for a while. There's always plenty of coffee, pancakes, conversation, silliness, and plain old BS

REMEMBER THEM

DEFENDERS OF FREEDOM

FR CANTEEN MISSION STATEMENT

Showing support and boosting the morale of our military and our allied military and the family members of the above. Honoring those who have served before.

(many thanks to wonderful Unique for the cute smiley woo hoos)

Hey, U, love the Beachy smiley.....I got something for ya in return

Well, our guests spent much of yesterday out at the mini-golf course yesterday. We had some chicken from KFC for supper.

As I'm typing I'm listening to audio from a brawl thay took place last night at a MILB game between Peoria and and Dayton. It lasted over an hour. A number of players and coaches were ejected and several people, including one fan was injured.

What a mess.
