"Citizen of the World" Obama Vows to Reduce America's Nuclear Defense Arsenal
Blogs for John McCain ^ | July 24, 2008 | brianinmo

Barack Obama, calling himself a "Citizen of the World," committed himself to reducing America's Nuclear Defenses in a speech delivered in Berlin, Germany, today -- a city ironically united because Ronald Reagan built up America's Nuclear Arsenal.

This is the moment when we must renew the goal of a world without nuclear weapons. The two superpowers that faced each other across the wall of this city came too close too often to destroying all we have built and all that we love. With that wall gone, we need not stand idly by and watch the further spread of the deadly atom. It is time to secure all loose nuclear materials; to stop the spread of nuclear weapons; and to reduce the arsenals from another era. This is the moment to begin the work of seeking the peace of a world without nuclear weapons.

This is an aspect of Obama's far-left liberal philosophy that has not been greatly explored as of yet. Obama has previously said he favors deep cuts in America's defenses, both nuclear and conventional . . (see video)

Barack Obama was running for "President of the World" today in Berlin, wanting to please the crowd. But he is running for "President of the United States." It was out of line for him to give a public speech outlining his plans that are not the policy of the U.S. Government he represents. Americans should ask themselves if this man, who so covets adulation from a crowd of Europeans, would truly act in the best interests of the United States. That's the only job of the U.S. President -- Not to be a citizen of "the world," but protect and advance the best interests of the United Sates.

Exactly.

If it would always be a grave mistake for the US to use nuclear weapons, regardless of the circumstances, Obama should come right out and advocate the complete and unilateral destruction of the US nuclear arsenal. Why keep it around if it can only lead to a grave mistake?

Why don’t we reduce our arsenal by giving our nuclear weapons away to other countries? That way they won’t need to violate International law by developing their own nuclear weapons programs.

I agree! Those damn things are everywhere these days!

Obama is an enemy of the United States. I know I’m preaching to the choir, but this enemy is downright dangerous to our survival. He must have a safehouse in Kenya or somewhere where he can go.

This I promise: If Mr. Obama is elected(God forbid), the press will hate his guts in less than six months in office, and so will the people who voted for him and the people who applauded him in Berlin today.

Mr. Obama might speak pretty well(with a prompter), but he is a shell. An empty one at that.

The fascination with Mr. Obama will fade quickly if he makes it into The White House. He is poised to become a terrible chief executive, and the scourge of America.

Oblama is a charmer and slick like Willy. Just remember though there is plenty of venom under that suave exterior.
The man makes good prepared speeches but a bumbling stumbler without one. If he gets into office expect a hard left marxist turn in policy just like the Clintoons did only ‘Bama got an angry chip deep within. Beware the O!

BO is a fine example of the “Self Esteem” culture.

Whereas self respect has to be earned by the person himself. “Self Esteem” can be imparted to people by the noncompetitive schools , fawning teachers and nonjudgmental mothers...and Affirmative Action...BO is an extreme example of a man who thinks very highly of himself without any objective reason rooted in achievement......need I say the man had no father to box his ears and tell him that the world doesn't owe him a living...let alone the presidency !!

Standing at Center Court No O, Barak Obama spoke to the assembled crowd, who's ears were still ringing from the free musical concert that had just ended. I am a player of the world. No longer will we be prohibited from passing the ball to a member of the other team. No longer will we stockpile offense on the bench to beat our less lucky opponents down the stretch. No longer will we run up scores over a hundred points while poorer teams can barely manage 60. It is time, time to take this competitiveness and fighting and struggling against each other and replace it with a loving reverence for me, your savior. I'll take all the points and dole them out fairly to you. Of course I will have the help of thousands of referees recruited in my Referees For the World Program. Every world citizen will have a place to play and a number of points to score regardless of their race, creed, color, religion, or national origin. Thank you, thank you. I love you too!

All while Obama’s minions were probably passing out absentee ballots (so long as American soldiers don’t get them).

This Berlin Obamarama is really beginning to piss me off.

He sure doesn't speak for me!

If he wants to get rid of the walls and have everyone join the world community, maybe he should be speaking at the UN; ‘cause last time I checked that was the mission of the corrupt debating society on the East River.

The UN should be kissing the ground under each and every American Serviceman, because without them to carry out the UN pronouncements of their endless hand wringing and voting to take out the Iraqi trash, none of these worthless bastards would have an expense account, as the UN collapsed into meaningless oblivion.

And for the media, I'm just pissed that I don't have stock in a kneepad manufacturer!

Under no circumstances will I ever be a “citizen of the world.”

I have always been, will always be, and will die a citizen of the United States of America.

The world citizen cadre can pound sand.

I hope Obama does not have any gaffs today. I actually think the gaffs draw attention away from how utterly devoid of substance this candidate is and how dangerously naive and stupid his positions are.
