But New York City's former first son is swinging back hard.

Late Wednesday, his attorneys filed a federal lawsuit in North Carolina, contending the university has violated its obligations to him as a student-athlete and demanding he be invited back to Duke's state-of-the-art golf-training facility.

I think your comment is premature and childish. Since when are we supposed to just roll over and take it? I for one would like to hear the justification this new coach has for doing this. It sounds like Andrew is guilty of being the son of a Republican.

If he wins I’m going to sue the US Olympic swim team for not letting me practice my belly flops in their pool.

IF it happened the way he said I would be pretty p*ssed off too. Probably turn into a he said, he said argument but it doesn’t sound like they had grounds to dismiss him at all.

You’re going to take the word of some coach on the Duke staff? Some people just revel in the misery of others. And what does Hillary or Obamie have to do with it?

It isn’t readily apparent that there was cause to terminate Andrew’s eligibility. That being said, I wouldn’t expect a plaintiff to jeopardize his case by mentioning the negatives that might be associate with his claim.

Just because he is the son of a well known political figure, it doesn’t necessarily man he is a jackass. He may have a case.

It will be interesting to watch this play out, although it’s a minor thing in the scheme of things. I’m sure it isn’t a minor thing to Andrew.

By all means then, lets open up getting canned from school teams to lawsuits.

IMO, Coach doesn’t need any reason to boot anyone from the team. Least that’s the way it was when when I played sports.

Don’t ever recall any lawsuits over it back then either.

Call the Breck Girl to handle the case. Isn’t he on the NC bar?

Give him something to do besides running from the National Enquirer.

The university might very well have a code of conduct for student athletes. The implication in such a code would be that so long as student athletes follow the rules, they won't arbitrarily be kicked off their respective teams.

Not enough facts here to judge.

Wasn’t this the kid that was acting up during one of Rudy’s speeches and got a lot of coverage? He was imitating his father’s gestures or something like that. Don’t know if there’s any relationship but that incident always made me think the kid had a problem.

"I love my father very much," Andrew said.

That's why he badmouths him in the press.

That's the difference between "sports" and "golf".

The late Chris Farley did an hilarious impression of that exact incident.

"My Dad's the mayor! He's the mayor!"
