Everybody had a good laugh last August when Roll Call broke the story about Sen. Larry Craig, R-Idaho, getting arrested at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport for playing footsies in a toilet stall...

...But if Edwards had an affair and lied about it, shouldn't he suffer scrutiny akin to that of Craig? At least three-dozen daily newspapers in the United States published the Craig news the day after the Roll Call scoop, according to Nexis, but this morning not a single U.S. daily mentioned the Enquirer piece.

What’s the difference between the Edwards story and the Larry Craig story?

Well aside from the trivial facts that Edwards is a former VP nominee for the Demagogue Party and a recent “top 3” Presidential candidate...... the Edwards story would seem to have far more ‘there’ there (if it can be substantiated), since a mistress and a love-child while your wife dies of cancer is a far far bigger deal than some toe-tapping in an airport restroom.

The fact that the MSM goes wild over the Larry Craig story (which was indeed legitimate) while refusing to approach the Edwards story shows how extreme their biases really are.

I don’t usually post on threads like this, but the National Enquirer story looks lawsuit-proof from a legal standpoint. Placing bets on whether Edwards sues for libel.

The NE is owned and run, and legally vetted, by Clinton crony David (Jiminy Cricket) Kendall. Edwards is (was) being seriously considered as Obama’s Veep pick.

Wow, he sure is cold. He does this to his wife when she’s terminally ill, they have small kids, they’ve already lost a child. I had heard he was supposed to make a statement on tv today about it, guess that was a rumor. I cannot BELIEVE the way nothing is on tv about this. Edwards, too, may be a sex hypocrite...since the affair has been going on long enough to produce a "love child", it was probably at least in its early stages about the time Edwards was standing with his wife, who does have cancer, and talking about how much he loved her and was going to help her fight her illness - sounds like hypocrisy to me.......
