My son’s piano teacher, outwardly a devout Catholic, went to this. He was giddy talking about the Llama. Such a strong physical something the man exudes, says he.
Ok.

He actually had some kind things to say about President Bush earlier on the trip. The only source I can find so far is a publication we can't post here though.. To paraphrase:
Of course, I have great respect for, in fact, I love President Bush, because he is very frank, very straightforward. His intentions are good He went on to discuss how he disagrees with the war, etc, but he said that President Bush's intentions where good. Some heads exploded on the left over that one (or they ignored that part and just picked out the one critical sentence.)

The Left loves Buddhist celibates.

the Dalai Lama thinks that he can regain his country by using Gandhi-an tactics. history, since he went into exile, illustrates that such tactics fail in totalitarian societies. They only work if the ‘opproessor’ lets them work.

Thanks for posting an interesting article. The Dalai Lama is a human world treasure. If the Red Chinese government could rise above its close-minded authoritarian dogma and let Tibet have semi- autonomy under its own leaders, the Tibetan spiritual style of Buddhism could make all of us better people. I’m not saying adopt it instead of western Christianity, just have it in the world mix as it’s a peaceful influence.

I’m not impressed by the Dali Lama. Tibet has only gotten worse and he has a childish view of Islam, putting it on the same level as other religions. When it is a cult of war

(That Muhammad was a charlatan. Islam is a hoax, an imperialistic ideology, disguised as religion.)
