In one of Senate candidate Al Frankens literary efforts titled Rush Limbaugh Is A Big Fat Idiot, he reveals his personal feelings about a topic important to many Minnesotans. In Chapter 12 of his book, I learned that candidate Franken is against private ownership of guns due to his belief that firearms in the home are too dangerous. I believe these views are more consistent with California or New York, where Mr. Franken still maintains corporate interests.
His problem is Minnesota has always been a pro-gun state. Remember, a bipartisan majority passed conceal and carry. I called the National Rifle Associations legislative office April 22 for Sen. Norm Colemans most recent NRA rating score. Colemans previous votes and questionaire answers qualified him for their hightest category A.

Franken isn’t even a good comic. He’d fit right in in DC.
B.S. He lives there. He is nothing but a carpetbagger.
Franken is wants to ban private ownership of guns? What a surprise.
How about that he’s an idiot?
Oh yeah... he’ll fit right in with Reid, Boxer, Kennedy, Dodd, Schumer, Her Heinous, et. al.
He won’t carry da Range like every other DFLer has in past years. That might make the difference.
Why is Minnesota even consider is idiot?
Of course, being one of the absolutely indispensible elitists, Al would have a 38 in his glove compartment, just in case. After all, the US can afford to lose any number of mouth-breathers, but not an Al Franken!
Franken’s no gun position should sink him in the election as other than the brie and Birkenstock liberals in a few Twin Cities suburbs and on a few Minnesota college campuses, the vast majority of the state is pro-hunting. Now if Franken has made some anti-fishing statement Coleman will win in the biggest landslide in US history.
The suburbs are Republican. Minneapolis and St. Paul are hard rock DFLers.

Memo to Jason Lewis
