OMG! They didn’t REALLY switch to Algore...did they???
Feed went to Al Gore speaking on energy (gag)
LOL, GMTA
I was just going to post the same thing.
Gore broke the feed!!!
Well, at least we could feel a little part of the funeral mass by watching. And we are together here.
I just still cannot believe he is really gone ...........
I saw the really tall guy, but didn’t recognize him out
from behind his podium!
They went from Tony to Algore...and now it’s OFF!! GRRRR...
Talk about going from the sublime to the ridiculous...
Tony Snow embodied the saying character is what we do when nobodys watching. Of the many stories of Tony that have been told by his friends and colleagues since his death, my favorites are the ones that speak to who Tony Snow was when nobody was watching. Theres the one Bob Beckel told about Tony and Bob traveling to Hawaii together on a speaking engagement during their early days with Fox. The event sponsor wanted them both to wear Hawaiian shirts to the engagement, but, when Tony and Bob went shopping together, they couldnt find a Hawaiian shirt in Beckels size. When Beckel was ready to give up, Tony bought him a well-fitting white shirt, took the shirt to a local island artist and asked him to paint a Hawaiian print on it. The other story Ill always remember Tony by was one told by a Fox colleague during Gretas tribute show. She said that for Jills 50th birthday, Tony got her 50 presents. Of course, she said, not all of them were large gifts, but they were all well thought out and Tony worked for a long time on that project. These stories help me smile through the tears. Rest in peace, Tony Snow. May angels comfort your beautiful wife and children in the days to come.
I agree with you. He was a treasure and we are all better for having “known” him.
The idiot!
What a segue. Ugh!
I know! That’s why I wasn’t sure it was him. Noon time sun is not flattering to anyone.
Hehe,He is suck a Yuck he’s a double Yuck.Wish we could see something.
The camera coverage was pretty bad...my stomach feels like I just got off a boat in a storm.
Bill O just left, feed ends.
(luv, i’m hunting
+pecking .. in a cast again .. + had to have
infected impacted wisdom tooth removed yesterday -= brown star, go away ! ;)
:( Now what do we do.
How dear those stories are going to be in the days to come...
I was just reading lonevoice’s post and starting to tear up again when I read your post and started cracking up!
Tony said his sense of humor got him through a lot and I think he’d love that we are all still smiling and laughing. :-)
That’s what happens with zoom coverage! LOL! See-sickness! LOL!
It’s done...I need to go. I am glad to have been here with
everyone who loved that man.
God be kind to him and God bless us all!
followed that feed up with gore on energy :shudders:
I’m sitting here alone at work, hoping no one comes in, crying.
I am a cancer survivor (stage 3) and was still going thru chemo when Tony was first diagnosed. He encouraged thru his wit and positive outlook that cancer doesn’t have to be scary.
He showed us all what it is like to live with cancer, but that it doesn’t define us, it is just a part of what some of us have to experience. He was right to say that it can be a blessing in so many more ways than I could voice.
I didn’t post on his threads, but I did read and so I consider myself a snowflake and hope that one day I will shake his hand in Heaven.
*grin*
He would be the first one to say...”keep smiling, I am
happy and well now”.
*sigh*
See y’all on the next Snowflake thread!
