I would hope that Fox, the govt., etc., provided benefits...but maybe not, if Rush has to ask.
Rush wouldn't ask if he didn't have to.

RUSH: I'll be out tomorrow. I'm going to Washington for Tony Snow's funeral in the morning... And, by the way, speaking of that, there is an address and a bank if you want to contribute to a trust that has been set up for the education and expenses of his children. It's at our website, RushLimbaugh.com, and you can see where to send any amount that you can spare, if you so desire. Have a great next couple days and weekend and see you on Monday. Look forward to it.
The Tony Snow Family Trust
Donations for the education of Tony Snow's children can be made by check:
Center for Health Transformation Attn: Tony Snow Family Trust 1425 K Street, NW Suite 450 Washington, DC 20005

You’re right, FRiend. I’ve shed a lot of tears (and will shed some more for Tony, I’m sure), but we’ve got to spring into action and help Tony’s kids! :o)

Sometimes funds are set up...not so much because they are needed but because people just want to show their respect by helping. JAT Of course, I understand...Rush doesn't usually do this. It must be necessary, if he did.

Thank you, Cindy! I also have to get this info to my non-FReeper friends (via e-mail) who have been asking how we can help Tony's family. I'll forward your and paulat's info to them. Thanks again. :o)

with the deal that Rush just signed he could fund an account with no trouble at all. Pony up and show the rest of us how its done
He's "shown us how it's done" plenty of times before. Besides, you don't "pony up" when you give money freely. That's envy talking.
To: Hound of the Baskervilles
He may not have been able to pass the physical to get it. It happens.
To: misterrob
Yes, Rush
could fund the entire thing himself but then that would deprive all of us doing the right thing for the right reason.
It's a matter of generosity but maybe you think that only the very rich should be generous.

He may not have been able to pass the physical to get it. It happens. Indeed it does....but still, Tony Snow made in a month, more than I make in a year. Charity is always appropriate for those less fortunate than us. Tony did well, and it's hard to see his kids as charity cases, but I'll reserve judgment.
RIP Tony.

That seems amazing to me. Yes, Fox, the Govt all should have had programs that cover their employees and their families. Cant imagine no life insurance or health insurance benefits with jobs of that magnitude. There's a real question in my mind whether Tony was able to buy life insurance, with his risk of cancer so high that he was getting colonoscopies every six months before they even found the cancer - and they still found it too late! You have to wonder, speaking of his government service, how history would have been different if Tony had been Press Secretary for the Bush Administration from day 1. Just think how differently things like the "sixteen words" - which the WH backed away from but patently were absolutely true. Tony didn't give an inch, but questioned the premise of the questions when they were ridiculous - as so often they were.
So you have to consider that any Republican administration needs to find a way to fund a high-powered, talk-show caliber, Press Secretary. You need a Tony Snow, now sadly no longer available, or an Ann Coulter, or somebody with that much combativeness to keep your ratings from getting entirely trashed the way Bush's ratings have been by the Disinformation Media.
