Major U.S. city officially condemns Catholic Church
WorldNetDaily.com ^ | July 15, 2008

A San Francisco city and county board resolution that officially labeled the Catholic church's moral teachings on homosexuality as "insulting to all San Franciscans," "hateful," "defamatory," "insensitive" and "ignorant" will be challenged tomorrow in court for violating the Constitution's prohibition of government hostility toward religion.

Resolution 168-08, passed unanimously by the City and County of San Francisco Board of Supervisors two years ago, also accused the Vatican of being a "foreign country" meddling with and attempting to "negatively influence (San Francisco's) existing and established customs."

It said of the church's teaching on homosexuality, "Such hateful and discriminatory rhetoric is both insulting and callous, and shows a level of insensitivity and ignorance which has seldom been encountered by this Board of Supervisors."

You'd think that given all the problems facing urban America today elected officials would have better things to do with their time than insult the faith of 70 million of their fellow citizens. But, these are 'Rats (by and large) that we're talking about, so I guess not.

It seems Nancy Peelousy and SF are a good fit. Peelousy would rather bloviate and blame Bush while the country burns from high energy prices. To hell with all of the lousy 'Rats.

Resolution 168-08, passed unanimously by the City and County of San Francisco Board of Supervisors two years ago...............

Two years ago? I completely missed this.

Obviously it was given extensive coverage in the media and there was a huge outcry from the US Catholic bishops as well as concerned Catholics and Christians everywhere.

Not.

If this happened two years ago, unknown to most, the sad fact is that they've already gotten away with it.

Come on just one little 10.0!

That was my first thought, but now I have to go to confession.

Conservative folks who continue to vacation in Mexico, continue to subscribe to the NY or LA Slimes, or travel to Sodom-by-the-Bay to tour and dine are either titanically stupid or suicidely stubborn.

Money, spent or withheld, is the greatest agent of change when directed at national or local marxist, fascist, amoral, destructive or treasonous individuals, organizations, media or the smug members of the San Francisco governmental tourist commission.

Who wants to dine in San Fransicko, anyway, given the nauseating black miasma that overhangs this deviated-sex saturated city.

Ugh......

It is well known that the Catholic Church does more for AIDS victims than any other organization in the world. One group of religious Sisters in Manhattan for example, the Missionaries of Charity, care for homeless men with AIDS, quietly and without recognition.

The bigotry and persecution have only begun.

Eventually you’ll see the Bible attacked as hate speech. Oops, they’ve already done that.

**Major U.S. city officially condemns Catholic Church**

Because the Vatican and the Catholic Church (along with many Christian churches) proclaim the truth about homosexuality, and these people do not want to believe the truth.

The individuals responsible for this hate speech resolution aren't practicing Catholics, and wouldn't be impressed by an interdict one way or the other.

But it's a sterling example of the left's hypocrisy in preaching "tolerance" and "diversity". They don't really believe in either one.

Keywords: -None-
Description: -None-
Body: 7 Homosexuality refers to relations between men or between women who experience an exclusive or predominant sexual attraction toward persons of the same sex. It has taken a great variety of forms through the centuries and in different cultures. Its psychological genesis remains largely unexplained. Basing itself on Sacred Scripture, which presents homosexual acts as acts of grave depravity, tradition has always declared that "homosexual acts are intrinsically disordered." They are contrary to the natural law. They close the sexual act to the gift of life. They do not proceed from a genuine affective and sexual complementarity. Under no circumstances can they be approved

The media would go nuts about the Catholic Church being “unChristian”.

When a city named “Saint Francis” decides to attack one of God’s churches for teaching God’s truth, then I’d say there will be a crisis shaping up for that city.

Because of their hatred of veterans, because of their hatred of active military, because of their hatred of morality, because of their hatred of the Church, because of the hatred of our Trinune God, there will be a day of reckoning.

As Jonah in Ninevah: “Repent, San Francisco. The judgement of the Almighty is sure to come upon you.”

Apparently it is before the 9th Circus.

The Thomas More Law Center hopes the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals will decide in the case of Resolution 1680-08 that even if a large portion of the community is at odds with a religion's views on homosexuality, the government cannot be used as a weapon to condemn religious faith.

After all, it's San Francisco, are you really surprised?

10.0! 10.0! 10.0! Come on just one little 10.0!

12.5! 12.6! 12.9! Just enough to shake that entire part of the state into the Pacific.

In a few weeks, my husband and I will be celebrating our 50th anniversary. Before I became aware of the resolution, I suggested to him that perhaps we could take in a show in S.F. I was surprised about my husband's reaction to my suggestion. He said that he does not want to support the hedonistic S.F. any more that he has to, which of course, is not at all. I was pleased that he, who is usually silent on moral issues, felt this way. I agreed at the time and on hearing this, am doubly pleased that he pointed this out!
