The Obama Citizenship Question - - - Have We Been Suckered In By Hillary And The DNC?
Conservatives have been arguing about Obama possibly not being constitutionally qualified to be President. Some claim he is not a natural born citizen. Besides distracting us from the real issue of teaching America what a disaster an Obama presidency would be, we have been focused on this issue.
But stop and think for a moment. Even if we are right, have we been doing Hillarys work for her?
Step back for a moment and consider some Realpolitics.
Remember, we Conservatives do not elect the President. Neither do the hard line Dems. Regardless of who is the candidate, about 40% of the public will vote D, and 40% will vote R.
The deciding vote is always cast by that 20% in the middle, the swing voters.
Often female, they are usually late deciders and most importantly, make up their minds on Maslow type issues; Is my world safe? Is my country safe? Is my family economically, militarily and morally safe and safer with the Republican or Democrat candidate?
Also remember that the Dems have never been a majority party. They often put together winning coalitions of multiple minorities, but they dont begin with a majority.
Now, move back to July 2007, a year ago. You are an RNC leader. Who do you want to face?
A very savvy, popular female senator, especially popular with the swing voters, or an unknown, inexperienced, untested, Muslim, Black first term senator?
She would get these minority Dem voters in the GENERAL Election (the only one that really counts.)
1) Traditional blue collar Dem-Labor voters (the ones Reagan took away.) 2) The Fuzzy Left vote 3) The Radical vote 4) The Black vote (Blacks would vote for Charles Manson if he were running on the Dem ticket) 5) The Youth vote (although they talk a lot, they dont vote much in Generals) 6) The Gay-Lesbian vote (she would have that secret vote VERY strongly, and get bazillions of dollars from them.) 7) The Soccer Mom vote 8) The hurt, downtrodden female vote
In the GENERAL, our Islamic Black Senator would get
1) The Fuzzy Left vote 2) The Radical vote 3) The Black vote 4) The Youth vote
More importantly, all her baggage is known and already factored in to her favorability ratings. On the other hand, most of his baggage is not and they are Maslow type or bread and butter issue negatives.
His negatives are still ready to be used against him. The serious coverage of Tony Rezko not even started. The Rev. Wright is still circling the field of battle, ready to drop huge electoral fear bombs on those swing voters. The Senators negatives scare us. His negatives are new, and there are still many yet to come to the public attention.
Sure he makes a great speech but that wears out. It would certainly wear out long before a General. His victory in the Primaries was dependent in a large part on the anti-Hillary vote, not on the pro-Obama vote.
Even the old pros at the DNC quietly know this. Their current line about Obamas popularity is Up fast, down fast just like Bill Clintons weenie
But remember, you are a Republican leader trying to get that MIDDLE OF THE ROAD SWING VOTER, (not the FReeper types.)
Now, move forward Mr. Leader, its 2008. We got our wish. The Dems did it to themselves again. This is 1972 all over again. The far-left Dem primary voters have chosen a far-left candidate who appeals to the far-left Dems, the ones who vote in the Primaries, but in the long run he has little real long-term critical appeal anywhere else.
Now, how are you going to beat him in the General?
You are going to wrap him in the Reverend Wright and his hate of White people. Every time they breathe, they will think of Wright. Far-left Dems may have "forgiven and forgotten Rev. Wright but were going to ensure MOR voters NEVER forget him and his hate.
Speaking about hate, we havent even started with ACORN and Obamas work for them yet. How about Black Reparations. How about his ongoing association with murdering terrorists like Bill Ayers, American terrorists who wish they could kill more Americans all over again.
How about Military experience? Can Obama even spell "G.I.? Taxes, terrorism, taxes, crime, taxes, government-directed healthcare, radical Supreme Court judges, did I mention higher, crippling taxes . over and over and over again.
Untested, inexperienced, a tax and spend, radical, Black Muslim oh, Im sorry, did I say Black Muslim Of course, I meant Islamic Black Democrat. Im so sorry . (blush)!!!
And we repeat it over and over and over again
In the GENERAL, he is so much easier to beat than the Hildabeast . and thank goodness she lost the Primaries.
There is no way she and Bill could pull some political shenanigans and get the nomination now without rioting in the streets (Chicago 1968 all over again, which guaranteed the Nixon win.)
But wait If somehow Obama is found to be legally disqualified, who else could they turn to? The Hildabeast of course! Now she is tanned, rested and ready she never officially dropped out of the race. And it wouldnt be her who got poor Mr. Obama thrown out of the race. It would be those nasty Republicans and Conservatives!!!
All of a sudden, Obama wouldnt be the Messiah anymore, but Hillary would be Our Lady of Virginal Wonderfulness
Think of it like a Super Bowl. The primaries were the regular season and the playoffs to decide who pays in the Big Game. The Big Game (the General election, the only one that really counts) hasnt started yet! The MOR voters are on summer break. They wont get really interested in politics until mid-September. As FReepers, were interested in politics and elections all the time, because we are interested in the long term future of our country,,, but not the Sheeple. For the Sheeple, the primaries are over and its summertime, kids at the beach or pool, days off, etc.
The only reason there is any attention is because the media is driving it for ratings, because with Iraq settling down, they dont have anything else to talk about, and politics drives ratings.
But in the world of Realpolitics, in the world of political reality, in the area of what will matter a year from now, were still in the pre-game show!
The points dont count yet.
So, lay off the citizenship thing, at least for now. Lets make sure Obama gets the nomination, then beat him during the General, on a hundred real issues!
Lets not get him out now while they can still run in a substitute. Keep the citizenship thing in our quiver, so if by some strange reason Obama won, we can use it then, when it counts, on the offhand chance it is real.
Stop doing Hillarys work for her. Lets not let this citizenship thing become Operation Chaos running three month too long. If he goes out now, we get Hillary! We may hate her, but the Sheeple do not!
Dont do Hillary and Bills Rovearian work for them, We want Obama
on their side, as their public face, image and candidate in the General!
If someone wished to have him held legally unqualified, then it would be up to that person to bring suit as a plaintiff seeking a declaratory judgment removing Obama's name from the ballot,,, and please, do not let than happen before November, for all the reasons stated.
Sorry, but if Republicans were seen as the force behind obama’s removal, 110% of Blacks would vote for Obama.
Blacks NEVER vote for Republicans. J.C Watts, of all people, never carried the Black vote in his district, and his isn’t even an inner city welfare ghetto district.
If he does, he has defeated a challenge. If he can't, the only winner would be Hillary, who would then get the nomination.
Think, man. Think!
Put your ego aside and ask yourself, why do you want to help Hillary and the DNC?
The two problems with all this “the BC is false” stuff is that
1: In order to have if PROVEN false in a LEGALLY SIGNIFICANT setting, someone would have to sue, as covered yesterday, and that would be a years long process.
2: If he is disqualified, IT HURTS US! He is by far the weaker of the leading Dem candidates. Birth records or not, he is easier to beat than Hillary. Why do we want to help the Dems nominate the stronger candidate!?!?!?
He is not electable in a national General election, period.
You and I, and everyone else, will help elect the more Conservative or more Liberal candidate. Or we can sit home and lose our right to bitch about the results, because we deserted from the field.
Then it isn’t too late to replace McCain, is it?
The RNC and DNC should both be horse whipped for not properly vetting the eligibility of the candidates.
I agree that his positions are infuriating.
But the campaign itself is dull and lackluster.
Maybe his plan is to stay under the radar and hope Obama self destructs.
If he’s constitutionally unqualified, then I don’t care who benefits and who gets hurt...it should be exposed and he should be disqualified.
Just wait. Three days before the Dem convention one of Hillary’s minions will drop a Manhattan-sized dirt bomb on Obama. She will then get the nomination.
Who is conservative enough for you.... and why didn’t he get elected in the primary?
2. This is where we disagree. His messianic charm is far more dangerous than Hillary. I have said this from the very beginning when I heard his speech at the DNC. He is like Hitler and Mussolini who both rode into power on words, not issues. At least with Hillary we have issues to talk about.
Obama’s Trendex is already WAY down. You can only do the same act for so long.... and remember, he has succeeded only because no Republican has challenged him.
I really wanted Sharpton leading the Dem ticket, but I'll take Obama.
My point is, that if a law abiding citizen is required by law to show a driver license to a law enforcement officer requesting that license, it behooves a presidential candidate to demonstrate that they are indeed qualified by the definition specified by the Constitution to serve in the capacity of President.
Any damn fool can ‘declare’ they are qualified, but if sufficient question is raised regarding their eligibility, a candidate with any common sense ought to dispel such questions by just producing the appropriate documents that prove they are eligible to serve.
I just went to Ancestory.com web site and found a Stanley A. Dunham listed. It even had the SS # attached to it. I wont post the SS # but if you contact me privatly I will give it to you. I looks like she didnt get her SS # until later in life it says 1959-1960 (possbly to get a passport) Here is what the listing said:
Name: Stanley A. Dunham
SSN: XXX XX XXXX
Last Residence: 96826 Honolulu, Honolulu, Hawaii, United States of America
Born: 29 Nov 1942
Died: 7 Nov 1995
State (Year) SSN issued: Washington (1959-1960 )
It isn’t a matter of Conservative, conservative, Moderate, moderate, Liberal, or liberal.
McCain’s character and credentials alone should keep him out of GOP consideration.
But what can you say about a group of people (the GOP) that will support the man that subverted their political majority?
From sponsoring anti-Constitutional legislation to corruption to consorting with the GOP’s opponents, one would think that this man would be considered too foul to nominate.
But I guess not for the GOP.
nothing suspicious about that, nc.
Back then, we didn’t have to get ss#s until we were old enough to earn a paycheck... I was about her age when I got mine. I am exactly one year younger than Stanley Ann.
And when we do it will be racist, it will be divisive, it will demonstrate the separation between the races, it will be the cause of militancy within the United States. I am already on the record saying no matter how things turn out for Obama, it isn't good for the country. I'd much rather things turn at the DNC Convention than on election day or the days after. Even if Obama isn't nominated, even if Hillary pulls a last minute stunt, we will have to deal with the Obama after effects. It is my humble opinion it must happen before the general election.
>>> McCains character and credentials alone should keep him out of GOP consideration.
And the person that should have won and the reason he didn’t are?
>>> But I guess not for the GOP.
Then you are for the Dems.
Actually, the issue is not wether you are for the GOP, but thank goodness the GOP is for you!
