If anyone doubts the need to have ousted Saddam, a news release in the past few days should put such doubts to rest. The report is that the US has sold 550 tons of yellowcake uranium that had been found in Iraq to Cameco, a Canadian company. The uranium will now be used as fuel and poses no severe risk if properly stored and sealed.
While the report contains no new information per se, it brings to the forefront pertinent facts that, while widely available, were also widely ignored. But when analyzing military and security matters, we can ill afford to ignore any factual information.

You sorry lyin' sack....
Now the Libtards will be saying we’re making a profit off of this “illegal” war.
Many of todays Democrats like to tell tales of Bush lying (although the idea that a president, any president, would knowingly mislead a nation, at the expense of his reputation and legacy, is ridiculous and offensive to logic). They also like to chant the story line that there were no WMD in Iraq and even that Saddam posed no threat.
::::::::
The far left socialist DemoRats pose a far greater threat to America than anything Saddam could have done. Think about that -— with what we know of the radical left and the frightening moron of a presidential candidate the socialists are trying to thrust upon America, let us now hear the lying, filthy far left talk of “no danger to America” ..... something they represent in spades!!!

That’s another good point. The one case in Niger wasn’t that clear (thanks to the “wonderful” work of French intel and then MI6 that went with it), but there were many more cases in which Saddam tried to get more uranium that the media wholly ignored.
Reminds me of their chant “no blood for oil,” starting in 1990. We didn’t take their oil in ‘90 and President Bush has been concerned with rebuilding Iraq, so we didn’t take their oil, as at the very least, having a stable govt there that doesn’t allow the place to become open to terrorist training camps is worth the cost of helping them rebuild. Because of that the Dems are mad that “we paid so much for Iraq and we didn’t even get their oil.”
Seems like there’s really only one easy way to placate the left. It involves meds.
And this story will be featured on the front page, above the fold, in all the major U.S. newspapers on Monday. Well, maybe not. Gotta put those sob stories about illegal immigrant families out there.
The media is far worse than even the liberal Dems in DC, and far more radically left. That’s why it’s so important that we continually counter them with truth and facts, and do so in widespread ways and consistently.
His refusal to defend himself drives me nuts, but....
As he has said, they're still writing history books George Washington.
I guess he is counting on the long run.....
And I don't feel like pointing out his *&%^#$ faults on #^&*( issues tonite.....
If, after 911, he did NOT take the threat of Saddam's WMD falling into the hands of terrorists seriously enough to warrant invading Iraq and deposing the butcher, he would not have been worthy of the office he holds.
He leans to the left on some issues but he is a TRUE LEADER!! He has done his constitutional duty in an exemplary fashion!!
The best is that even Investors Business Daily wrote that this story would/should get a lot of media attention, except they seem to have another agenda.

He could have also refined it just enough to be useful as a slow death dirty bomb. He could have sold it to bin laden. Or our friends, the mullahs, in Iran. Even Ghadaffi was in the market then. Kinda neat how that little pissant turned into a pussy post the Afghan war.
If I can figure this stuff out, I'm sure saddam could have. He could devise much worse. He didn't need the yellowcake to run the lights in Baghdad.
“If, after 911, he did NOT take the threat of Saddam’s WMD falling into the hands of terrorists seriously enough to warrant invading Iraq and deposing the butcher, he would not have been worthy of the office he holds.”
I don’t disagree with that. Like the quote goes (by whom I don’t know) “when it comes to national security, I’d rather be strong and wrong than right and weak”. I still think Iraq would have been over with a long time ago if we had not played it the nicer and gentler way, but it’s not as though a ton of terrorists haven’t been killed and a strong message sent to the world.
The message that it if we get pushed as far as we were by the tragedy of 9/11, we will commit military violence upon our enemies. I just hope that next time it will be without regard for the well-being and prosperity of our enemies at the expense of thousands of our own military men and women. I just don’t have faith in the muslim people as a whole. I wish I could but I do not based on their ideology that rivals naziism for the most hateful belief system of all time.
BTTT!
Ya beat me to it!
