I received this from SurferBoy to all of us
Saveliberty -
Thank you for your kind words and for alerting me to the link. It’s a tough time letting go, but know that we will all see him again. And take to heart too the great lessons he taught us about how to live our lives - boldy, with zest for those that you love, and always, to be of good cheer.
Hope you are well and please let everyone know how very, very much he loved you guys and how tremendously pleased he would be to read all of the comments today.
He’s looking down, I suppose, smiling and getting a chuckle out of the tears rolling down my face as I write this... because he knows in our sorrow, we celebrate his life. Guys like Tony live forever and we will always remember him in times of grace, faith, character, love and optimism.
My best to everyone.
SurferBoy
Thank You so much for sharing this with us. I had a family thing last night and I missed Fox News. It is still such a shock.
Thank you for sharing that.
Just before I logged on I was thinking, "I should be OK. I don't think I'll cry today." I was wrong.
Laughter is hard to come by right now, but Tony recommended it highly...at least a smile...as a way of looking at this world of ours.
Of his many accomplishments, I learned from Juan Williams at FNC today that Tony was also very good at basketball! (smile)
Thank you Griff....... I needed to hear that.......
Thank you so much for these kind thoughts.
We mourn with you, and for you and those closest to Tony. As you go through this thread you’ll see tears and laughter, and enormous gratitude to Tony for the time he gave us..
Please let Tony’s beloved Jill and children they’re in our hearts and prayers.
Who is surferboy and why does he speak for Tony?
Thanks for posting that note from Griff. I wish I could give him a hug!
Thanks for sharing this, SL.
Thank you so much.
Yesterday, I was going to a support the troops rally in West Chester, PA, when I heard the news on the radio.
Going straight home after, and going right back to the routine was unthinkable, given the news.
I decided to take my sorry disabled butt to the Maryland shore and back for the first time, alone, since the MS diagnosis. It was rebellion against what ailes me and a reflection of the courageous example TS set for all of us. Afraid of leaving some kind stranger responsible for me, if I couldn’t handle it, I wouldn’t do it before.
Everything couldn’t have gone more smoothly and it was quite a joyous trip! Freedom!
Some young women, sisters, from Middleton DE, took a liking to me for some strange reason, and they were so kind and fun and intelligent to be with.
So you see, even after his death, he is doing great things for others and it is very likely to be the case for a very long time.
Tony, Sir, its been a privilege. Thank you so much for all the joy you have brought to us, and will continue to.
As I was driving around 5 AM Saturday, on the car radio the Fox news person said a beloved Fox co-worker had died and then there was a pause. Enough time for me to think “don’t say it!” before they said Tony’s name. I’ve been in shock since then.
I hadn’t cried until I read your note from Surferboy. Thanks for posting that.
I’ve regretted not finding out about Tony’s recent appearance at the Reagan Library until it was sold out. But it’s true - we’ll all meet him someday at a place where it can’t be sold out!
Here are hugs to you too (((Griff))). I think Tony left a lasting legacy in YOU, by how you feel the need to comfort US when you are suffering your dear friends loss so much-which is so very TONYesque. His friendship was a true gift to you and you are so generous to share that gift with us. Thank You!

I love this statement...thinking of Tony's grin and laugh makes me smile and cry all at the same time..
The last few minutes of today's Fox News Sunday reminded me that Tony's ending comments , while he hosted Fox News Sunday, were so very, very special.
Thank you very much for sharing SurferBoy’s message, saveliberty.
Thanks for posting that from SurferBoy.
I have not been able to catch any of the tributes on TV today, but reading here is its own really special tribute. He would be so touched.
Oooh, I just saw an ad for tomorrow night on FOX; it’s going to be 3 hours of remembering Tony.
ping to post
Thanks for posting Surfer Boy’s comments. Brought tears to my eyes......he captured Tony’s essence so well!
