Two venerable members of the Senate, two entirely different treatments from Andrea Mitchell. Reverence for Ted Kennedy; derision for Strom Thurmond. Guest hosting in Mika Brzezinski's spot on Morning Joe today, Mitchell, emotion in her voice, hailed Ted Kennedy as "valiant" and a "hero." As for Strom Thurmond, Mitchell scoffed that he wasn't alive even when he was in the Senate.

Well, I’m not surprised at all of this praise for Sen. Kennedy.
Especially, if Barnicle was in on it. Mike is a proven liar, and he’s still working. That’s because liberals have no standards.
When I lived in MA, I used to ask people what the good senator had done for them and the Commonwealth. All I ever received as an answer was a blank stare.
I wish the senator well, I hope he recovers.
He is not a “hero.” He is a tax and spend liberal whose programs helped drag down one of the finest countries that ever blessed the face of the Earth.

It does take a lot of guts to leave a young woman to drown in your car; however I am not sure if that qualifies one to be a hero.
Perhaps she became confused and thought she was describing her husband in the evenings instead of Strom.

I always thought Estrich was the female version of the Joker, but you’re right, Mitchell has swiped that trophy from her.

LOL I try not to look at Mitchell very much but remember how, after the face lift, the corners of her formerly straight mouth turned up? Last time I saw her (the remote was under the covers of the bed and it took me a minute to find it) her smile seemed to be gone.
I’d be more inclined to let the remark about Strom pass except for three little words: Robert Carlyle Byrd. I’m sorry, folks. Whigger is that rare case of senile dementia where you can actually see and hear the brain cells dying, live on C-SPAN2.
