A special meeting about Dallas County traffic tickets turned tense and bizarre Tuesday afternoon.
County commissioners were discussing problems with the central collections office that is used to process traffic ticket payments and handle other paperwork normally done by the JP Courts.
Commissioner Kenneth Mayfield, who is white, said it seemed that central collections "has become a black hole" because paperwork reportedly has become lost in the office.
Commissioner John Wiley Price, who is black, interrupted him with a loud "Excuse me!" He then corrected his colleague, saying the office has become a "white hole."
That prompted Judge Thomas Jones, who is black, to demand an apology from Mayfield for his racially insensitive analogy.
Mayfield shot back that it was a figure of speech and a science term.

I recall reading about a year ago that some group was suing NASA and other such organizations to change the term “black hole” because they found it offensive. So I’m not surprised this hole took it as an insult as he hopes for instead of as it was intended.
You just can’t make this stuff up.
Is the descriptive “black hole” going to go the way the word ‘niggardly’ went?
Are we going to be allowed to say it’s dark at night?
Does Arnold Schwarzenegger get to keep his name?

Except Price would of shot back “Yeah I know, what is your point”. The man has made his career out of being a black a-hole. Interesting enough this is the first time in a while I have heard any controversy from him. He has been unnaturally quite of late.

If it wasn’t true one would think, at first glance, it was a mad-TV. script!
Sounds to me that these idiots should cross black and white from their vocabularies and substitute some other word for it so the listener can make the substitution they want. The adjective that comes to mind is @$$ which is what those people are.

From what I understand, the county is also running a massive deficit. Seems they need to be a little more niggardly in how they spend tax payers money.
Is it really any wonder, then, that John Wylie Price’s county precinct in Dallas is a stinking, festering hellhole?
Back in my middle school there was a running joke that if someone used the word black in any context someone would shout out racist. Eg. pass the black marker - racist! This is exactly what this reminds me of - hard to believe its grown men doing this.

What an idiot! if he talks about black cats, is that a racial slur too? Or black cars?
I hadn't heard that one. But I remember several years ago there was a move by the usual suspects to get computer makers to rename the "slave drive".
