I recall reading about a year ago that some group was suing NASA and other such organizations to change the term “black hole” because they found it offensive.

I hadn't heard that one. But I remember several years ago there was a move by the usual suspects to get computer makers to rename the "slave drive".

Several years ago I worked for a company that sold halogen light. The ones that had the transformer attached were called Masters and the ones that plugged into them were called slaves.

A year later the company recalled all of them from our shelves and repackaged them.
