Akansas cage fights turn gay for new Sacha Baron Cohen movie. ULY 8--Lured by $1 beer and the prospect of "hot chicks" and "hardcore fights," thousands of Arkansans were duped last month into appearing as extras in comedian Sacha Baron Cohen's latest staged mayhem. Cohen and his confederates organized cage fighting programs on consecutive days in Texarkana and Fort Smith. Both cards ended with two male grapplers (one was identified as "Straight Dave" and wore camouflage) tearing each other's clothes off and, while in underwear, kissing down their opponent's chest. This man-on-man action triggered Fort Smith fans to throw chairs and beer at the ring, according to one cop present at the city's Convention Center. Cohen is currently filming a follow-up, of sorts, to his smash 2006 film featuring Borat, his fictional Kazakh journalist. The new film stars another of Cohen's creations, Bruno, a gay Austrian journalist who interviews subjects about fashion and entertainment. It is reportedly titled, "Brüno: Delicious Journeys Through America for the Purpose of Making Heterosexual Males Visibly Uncomfortable in the Presence of a Gay Foreigner in a Mesh T-Shirt." The June 6 matches in Fort Smith were dubbed "Blue Collar Brawlin'" and were advertised with the poster seen below.

Maybe there is an opportunity there for an anti-Borat to emerge. Invite a bunch of perverts, libs and greenies (same thing, really) to what they think is a play where Jesus is dipped in urine, or something, and instead, they are locked in a room where a priest or a minister gives a sermon on the wages of sin. Let’s get some video of the reaction. Now THAT would be funny.

I guess good ole boys don’t pay much attention to Sascha Baron-Cohen’s career. You’d figure someone would recognize the name and realize this was a gag (at the crowd’s expense)being that most people had at least heard of the Borat movie—with “throw the Jew down the well” and whatever other pranks he did to make people look like idiots. Maybe this crowd deserves what they got.
I remember seeing the “throw the Jew down the well” thing. That was pretty bad and as bad as some of those people made themselves look, I do recall that not everyone in the bar seemed to think it was that funny.

In the movie `Sweeney Todd’ Depp’s lead character brains Cohen repeatedly with an iron tea kettle.
Like Paris Hilton getting pole-axed in `House of Wax’, it’s the little things that make a movie work.
Cohen was great and not his usual jejune (and in my humble opinion unfunny) self in “Sweeney Todd.”
A good way to commit suicide would be to show that poster to Wanderlei Silva in person.
Cohen is a genius. I have tried to watch this "sport" a few times on Versus, and it starts out well, with punching and kicking. However, as soon as the two guys get down on the mat it becomes so GAY. Even my wife says "gross...do gays watch this crap?" And I have to agree with her. It is just yucky.
Fights go to the ground in the real world. A real fight might seem "gay" to you, but if you'd rather watch Van Damme movies and pretend its real life, go right ahead.
Cohen surely is making a lot of dough with his contempt for the USA.
He’s gotten his ass kicked by Americans he tried his act out on at least once.
