Fox News Channel's Bill O'Reilly had Code Pink's Medea Benjamin on The Factor tonight. It was Benjamin's second appearance within a week on the Factor.
Last Thursday, Benjamin was on with guest host John Kasich opposite Vets for Freedom's Pete Hegseth. Tonight she was interviewed one-on-one by O'Reilly.
The segment last week dealt with Benjamin's comments trashing Vietnam veterans. Tonight's segment was on Benjamin's reaction to Obama supposedly moving to the center for the general election from the progressive positions he staked out during the primaries.
O'Reilly treated Benjamin as a respectable voice in American politics, totally ignoring her support for the terrorists in Iraq and leftist tyrants around the world including Fidel Castro and Hugo Chavez.
Benjamin portrayed herself and Code Pink as outsiders trying to pressure Obama to keep true to his progressive positions--especially his call to "end the war in Iraq and bring the troops home."
Given that O'Reilly has never challenged Benjamin for supporting terrorism in the dozens of times she has appeared on his show in the past three years, it was not surprising that he didn't challenge her on her portrayal of Code Pink as outsiders.
O'Reilly never informed The Factor viewers that Code Pink has Obama's ear--literally--through Benjamin's co-founder of Code Pink Jodie Evans who is a big dollar bundler and fundraising host for Obama.
Benjamin herself bragged about Code Pink's access to Obama in a videotape posted last week on a leftist website and reported on here at Free Republic.
O'Reilly ended the interview by praising Benjamin as one of his favorite guests.
It was four years ago that Code Pink was protesting Fox News on a regular basis. Those protests ended when Fox News started having Code Pink representatives on their shows on a regular basis. In addition to Benjamin's two appearances on The Factor, Code Pink's Ann Wright was on Hannity and Colmes last week.
Perhap's it's not just Bill O'Reilly who is Code Pink's poodle. Roger Ailes allows this to happen. I bet Ailes looks fabulous in his Code Pink dog collar and leash.
Ping.
The bloviator shows his true colors. Afraid to confront Code Pink thugs?
that’s funny!
i got into the car today and bill was saying that we are short of oil.
i turned the radio
off.
I only saw the tail end of this interview. I liked that O’Reilly told her that in the vieew of alot of middle america Code Pink is perceived as “nutty”. I seem to remember watching Hannity & Colmes once and they had a conservative who had done some research on this Code Pink person and organization and they said that Code Pink’s leader changed her first name some time ago for some strange reason and her hubby is super rich and they have a ton of $$$ behind them.
BOR is turning conservative politics into Jerry Springer style political theater.
Bor probaby got a free loofa from code pink so he’s nice to them
Poor Bill. Is he tagged, or what?
Thankfully, another station runs Glenn Beck tape delayed during O’Really?’s slot.
Bill O’Reilly is just another example of the irresponsible “journalism” that we are beset with daily.
Code Pink is an domestic enemy of the United States, and many of the folks here can personally attest to their nastiness.
O'Gasbag also referred to Barack Obama as a "patriot" a few weeks ago on his stupid show.
He also spouted a bunch of BS about Free Republic several months ago, and referred to our site as a "fringe" site full of "hateful people."
O'Reilly is a jerk who manipulated our statements in order to obtain ratings and advertising sales.
I only caught the last few minutes of his show and I thought I heard him say that the government needed to regulate the oil companies. I might be wrong or, since I didn’t hear the whole thing, I might be taking what he said “out of context.” So, correct me if I am wrong. Bill just seems a little strange lately.
Anyone, like O’Reilly, who gives publicity to these Commie, terrorist fellow-travelers is just giving aid and comfort to the enemy.
Who still watches BOR?
He seems to have quite an audience, but I am not among them.
I liked that BOR was setting Code Pink against Obama.
The Code Pinko didn't seem too happy that Obama was going "centrist".
She said something like they "always had Nader" if Obama wasn't going to work out.
I generally agree with O’Reilly on the issues (except saying the oil companies are “greedy”) but he always acts deferential to left-wing kooks like Benjamin and Al Sharpton, when he has them on as guests.
Medea was born Susan. Her father was rich and gave her the money to start Global Exchange, the parent company of Code Pink.
