Authentically black. What the heck does that mean? Am I the only person on the planet who sees the blatant racism in such a statement? I love sushi. I prefer country music over rap. Does this make me less black?
White and black liberal democrats say if you don't fit their angry urbanite, Ebonics speaking, “who's the daddy” TV talk show viewing, welfare recipient with a criminal record stereotype, you are not authentically black. Looking down their intellectual and self-righteous noses of superiority they proclaim to minorities, “you poor inferior victims of American oppression, we sympathize and feel your pain”. They're offended by individuals who escape or bypass their “ghetto experience” box and go on to achieve great success. How arrogant. How racist.
Imagine MLK brought back to life and told, “Dr King, blacks who are educated, sophisticated, articulate and harbor no resentment against America are called Uncle Toms, traitors and inauthentic”. Dr King would think himself in an episode of the “Twilight Zone”.
Thanks to the heroic efforts of civil rights pioneers such as MLK, blacks are thriving in all areas of American business, society and influence. Unfortunately, benefactors of the civil rights movement are persecuted by liberals who claim to have their best interest at heart.
For libs who think I'm not authentically black, I'll spout a little hood lingo, “Yo, peace out”.

I consider myself an authentically black woman. And like yourself I don’t allow myself to get put in a box as to how I’m supposed to vote, what music I listen to, what events I attend, what books I read.... I wear my hair in kinky twists and wear cowrie shell jewelry, to look at me one would think I am a black militant. I love my people, but I wish we could all wake up to the joke that the Democrats have played on our people for over 30 years.

Whiteness or blackness is irrelevant.
Work hard, save and have a family. Take care of your children, stay off drugs and attend church. Be a good neighbor, work on your house, wave when people drive or walk by.
Don’t kill, steal or rape. Love your spouse, don’t cheat.
Vote Republican (yes, even Juan “Algore” McCain” and leave charity to your church, not Nancy Pelosi.
Move to Arizona or Florida at about 65 and die at 80 while playing golf.
Leave the kids a little nest egg and hopefully you have taught them well enough to no waste it.

Let them question your "blackness" and make fools of themselves. The liberals that don't necessarily hate you but "feel sorry" for you are just as brainwashed as anyone in your own community that would question your blackness for not being just like them. You defy liberals by proving that no, you didn't need them, and you defy other blacks by proving that no, you didn't need liberals to help you. There are plenty of fools in this world from all races. Be proud that you rose above their ignorance, and define for yourself what "blackness" is. I can think of no better example of "blackness" than a person that rose above the obstacles and "groupthink" and set his own course in life, independent of every idiot that tried to block the path or make you dependent on them along the way, either black or white. Better to depend on yourself and be comfortable in your own skin than to try to fit in with a bunch of dolts who think you're nobody if you aren't just like them, or other dolts who can't possibly fathom how a poor minority such as yourself could have ever managed to succeed without some imbecilic liberal holding your hand the entire time.
