For all those naysayers about Saddam not having WMDs, I just found this headline: "Report: Uranium Stockpile Removed From Iraq in Secret U.S. Mission." ***** Tell me what Saddam was going to do with 550 metric tons of yellowcake. He wasn't going to use it for lawn fertilizer.

GWB is just too nice and has too much faith that the truth will eventually be heard. The truth may come out in the end, but it could be decades and in the mean time conservatism is going down the tubes. It would be so effective if GWB gave a nation wide speech and explained that he can't give all the details, but the truth is there were WMD.
I don't know, but a pardon would be a good start.

But the assertion by Dems is that there were no WMD’s in Iraq. Pre-91 or Post-91 yellowcake makes a helluva bomb either way.
No, don’t make stuff up. This yellowcake was remains of the nuclear program he had which Israel blew up real good. It was known and tagged by the UN.
To say that this stock was unknown / undiscovered WMD is incorrect.

This was left there by GB after Kuwait in 91. To try to link this with the purchase mentioned by Bush in the SOTU is incorrect.

Hussein kicked U.N. nuclear weapons inspectors out in 1998. There was no mention of securing 500 tons of yellow cake. He only let them back in when the U.S. began massing forces on the Iraqi border in 2002.

Again you can’t say this was “found” WMD when we already knew it was there.....way back when. And, in reality having yellowcake and having the ability to do anything with it are two different things. Yellowcake does not equal bomb.
This story neither proves nor disproves anything.

This uranium is separate from the uranium Saddam was looking for in Niger.
This was already known to inspectors, tagged and documented. He was looking for another supply that would be off-the-books.
Wilson lied about almost everything. Saddam’s trade mission to Niger was not really a secret, Wilson knew about it and reported it back to CIA. He just didn’t mention it to the press when he was slandering the president.
And when he swore that Niger would never engage in illicit sales of uranium, no one ever asked him where Libya’s uranium came from, because while he may or may not know it (expert that the Wilsons supposedly are) it came from Niger. The half of their stockpile that IAEA knew about came from Niger, smuggled in before they decided to come clean to IAEA. And where did the other half come from, the half they smuggled in later? Also from Niger. Of course. Where else?

How do you figure? Saddam was supporting terrorist activities. He was in the penalty box for constantly ignoring UN resolutions. What was he going to do with the yellow cake? If he voluntarily asked the UN to rid Iraq of the stuff I would understand your position. But that was not his position.
