For all those naysayers about Saddam not having WMDs, I just found this headline: "Report: Uranium Stockpile Removed From Iraq in Secret U.S. Mission." ***** Tell me what Saddam was going to do with 550 metric tons of yellowcake. He wasn't going to use it for lawn fertilizer.

Ambassador Joe Wilson lied about Saddam's Nigerian yellow cake.
The yellowcake was a major stockpile from Saddam's nuclear program ... that Bush lied about.
Apparently the CIA intelligence is not an oxymoron.

One of the reasons the Administration went along with the “no WMD in Iraq” is that they didn’t want the bad guys poking around for the remnants of Saddam’s program in Iraq (like the yellowcake in this article). Sadly, it’s a bit late to “rehabilitate” past WMD claims - it’s too fixed in the public imagination (especially Obama supporters). Reminds me of how Eisenhower had to keep his counsel while Presidential Candidate JFK told everyone who’d listen about a non-existent “missile gap” that only Top Secret information (which Ike wasn’t about to release) could have refuted. Sometimes doing the right thing by the country (otherwise known as patriotism) can kill you politically.

LOL - I knew Bush didn’t lie when the hazmat teams had to clean up the river just after the fall of Baghdad. The people dumped yellow cake and other stuff in the river to use the plastic containers. Many poisoned themselves.
550 tons of Yellow cake uranium? I thought the UN weapons inspectors removed all of Saddam yellow cake uranium from 1991-1998? Apparently not and thus Saddam was able to rebuild his nuclear program and would have been able make nuclear weapons from 550 tons of yellow cake uranium.
Is this another Bush rope a dope? Let them scream for a couple of years, then trot out several tons of known-bad things like yellowcake... just in time for the election.
