Two seventh-grade boys were given detention and their classmates forced to miss their scheduled refreshment break when the pair refused to kneel and pray to Allah during a religious studies class.
Outraged parents called the punishment of the boys for not wanting to take part in the practical demonstration at Alsager High School near Stoke-on-Trent, UK, of how Muslims' worship Allah a breach of their human rights.
"This isn't right, it's taking things too far," parent Sharon Luinen told the London Daily Mail.
"I understand that they have to learn about other religions. I can live with that, but it is taking it a step too far to be punished because they wouldn't join in Muslim prayer. Making them pray to Allah, who isn't who they worship, is wrong and what got me is that they were told they were being disrespectful.
"I don't want this to look as if I have a problem with the school because I am generally very happy with it."

Well, I didn’t know about this news story and so am glad to see it now. I used to want to visit Britain. Don’t now. Maybe Scotland or Ireland, but these folks are just too moslatto for me.

Psst, Sharon, you can do something about these SMALL MINDED PEOPLE at your kids high school - FIGHT for your son! Demand that those people be FIRED!
That's why I love to be HOMESCHOOLED!!! :-)
I have a number of British friends and they have no desire to go back to England. I mentioned something to one of them about Muslims gaining so much power in England and he responded "so what I am here now".
“Well, I didnt know about this news story and so am glad to see it now. I used to want to visit Britain. Dont now. Maybe Scotland or Ireland, but these folks are just too moslatto for me.”
If you’ve never been to Ireland, you should definitely put it on your “to do” list.
The countryside is awesome! And I don’t use that word often.
You’ll never see so many shades of green in your life.
Unlike many who live in Europe, Irish LOVE Americans and can’t do enough to make you feel at home.
And it is very reasonable to visit. Two suggestions: Stay at the B&B’s(very reasonable rates & great breakfasts) and stay off the tourist buses (rent a car so you’ll be able to see & appreciate more of the country...and stay on the LEFT SIDE OF THE ROAD.)
And no, I’m not on the Irish Tourist Board. LOL
I didn't either. Thanks Kelly. BTTT.
“I didnt see the other threads; thanks for posting!”
Actually “F15Eagle” posted an article yesterday that I mentioned in my first post. And you’re very welcome.

Well said! We Irish are awesome too! (grin)
Too bad England is letting itself get (how do I put this nicely) “confused” about what once made it “Great Britian”.
Shirai law comes next. Another retreat from the aggression that is Islam.
“I understand that they have to learn about other religions.”
That was her first mistake the boys shouldnt “have to” to learn about any other religion. The UK will soon be our enenmy. We should be prepared to fight her once the leftist and muslims destroy what left of freedom there. I cant believe that more Britions dont speak out about this - this is coming here whether we elect Obama or Mclame - we had better be ready to fight for our independence.
Neville Chamberlin would blush with how modern day Britain appeases the muzzies and Winston would roll over in his grave.
It’s bad enough for a secularist to be forced to pray to Allah. For a Christian, it is an abomination.
The early martyrs were mostly killed because they refused to pray to idols. They died gladly, preferring death to the commission of such a grave sin.
“I am the LORD thy God. Thou shalt have no other gods before me.”
This teacher sounds like a little pocket Nero.
Thanks. A lot.
At least Neville Chamberlain acknowledged that he’d been duped by the Nazis and resigned. Sir Winston welcomed him back into the government; Chamberlain publicly backed his successor and worked hard for the new Cabinet until his untimely death.
Totally unlike our own treasonous Jimmah Cartuh.
Anyway, someone referred to today’s U.K. as “moslatto”. Will save that term for future use. `Cause it’s true.
Under the circumstances, I'm not so sure there's a difference. :-)
I fear you are right.
A]nd just why did you address your post to me and not the complainer...
Under the circumstances, I’m not so sure there’s a difference. :-)
FYI, I wasn’t the person who said,
THERE ARE AT LEAST 4 THREADS ON THIS. PLEASE KILL.
hellooooooooooooooooooo...
Oh no, detention!
Just take your lumps and be defiant, boys! That’s what I always do - they can punish you, but they can’t get to you.
Seems harsh.
England has evidently made a successful entry into wonderland. If it’s called “a practical exercise,” praying can be mandated and enforced. But, if it’s called “praying,” then it’s illegal.
The US made this trip a few decades ago when it was able to criminalize speech by calling it “verbal conduct,” while legalizing the vilest sort of conduct by calling it “expression.”
“Boys Punished With Detention For Refusing to Pray to Allah (UK)”
They’d better get used to it-or find their backbones.
