They’re worried about America’s image in the world, and they want to establish a “Peace Academy”? Uh, yeah, that’s going to do wonders.

I think I’m gonna barf.
These illegals should get a one-way ticket to the border and be thankful that they don’t leave the country with a boot-print on their butts.

Has the NEA endorsed Obama yet?

Bet they wouldn't like a Peace Acadamy with this motto at the entrance:
"Si vis pacem, para bellum"
("Let him who desires peace prepare for war.")

We already have at least three Peace Academies. They’re in West Point, Annapolis and (just north of) Colorado Springs.
As for aliens and citizenship: LEGAL aliens already can greatly accelerate their citizenship by joining the military. That’s good enough.

Washington (CNSNews.com) - Some of the almost 10,000 members of the National Education Association (NEA) attending the teachers union's annual conference this week in the nation's capital spoke out on the issues they hope their lobbyists will fight for during next year's legislative session, including the establishment of a peace academy, in-state college tuition and a path to citizenship for illegal immigrants who graduate from high school. Susie Jablinske, a first grade teacher at Central Elementary School in Edgewater, Md., said children who are in the country illegally should have the same educational rights as American children.
What morons! Susie Jablinske has zero understanding of basic economics, the fundamental principles of democracy, and basic citizenship in the world, the nation, and community.
It is true that innocent children are affected by the crimes of their parents, and the failure by our lawmakers to fund the laws on the books to secure our borders, our language, and our culture. Of course the NEA are a bunch of union thugs held up to no standards; thus our schools are dysfunctional, but no one cares; just give them more money. It is easier to throw money at a problem to reward failed policies, than to solve it.

The graduates of the peace academy won’t be qualified to teach in the public schools, which is reason enough for the teachers union to advocate it. Anything that diminishes competition for their jobs is worth promoting.
