I don't like Obama either but let's try to be a little fair here. First off, Slum Lords for Obama is not the title of the real article. So the developers got money to help pay for the building of low-income housing. So what? How does that make them or Obama the bad guys? The real story here SHOULD be that brand new housing was built for these people and they destroyed it within a few years.

Is connecting the dots off-limited in this race?

The campaign did not respond to questions about whether Obama was aware of the problems with buildings in his district during his time as a state senator,...
"These aren't the buildings that I used to know..."

How is this 4th rate political Chicago hack the Democrat nominee for POTUS? It just defies explanation.
Wanna bet every tenant in Grove Parc will be voting for him come Nov.

I didn’t post the piece- I posted Greg’s blog entry ABOUT the piece as I thought he made some good points about it- if the mods disagree they’ll change it.
Undoubtedly- how people care for their own residence is a personal responsibility- but that’s another thread altogether.

How Barack got this far this fast with so little scrutiny is a head-scratcher.
One explanation is from an article I read here a month or so back (no link, sorry). Axelrod’s entire campaign has been based on selling the image, the personality and the rhetoric of Obama. Avoid the tedious policy discussions- focus on sweeping and inspirational ideas and words.
Seems to have been pretty effective, so far.

Seems to have been pretty effective, so far. I guess when you have the willing 'gloss over' from the MSM, anything is possible. Along with an electorate whose motto is "Oh look, something shiny!"

How Barack got this far this fast with so little scrutiny is a head-scratcher.It's because of Chicago politics. There is someone behind Obama (my guess would J. Jackson and his rainbow people).

As Rush discussed yesterday, Barry was handpicked as the perfect candidate for the far left because of his skin color. Nobody is going to go against him for fear of being called a racist. They got rid of Mrs. Clinton and made room for the messiah who nobody dares to touch.
RUSH: This guy's not what he seems. He is deceptive. He is diabolical. He's downright mean. What they are trying to do with McCain here -- with genuine lightweights, like Wesley Clark and Rand Beers who could not wear John McCain's jockstrap -- is breathtaking to behold.

I agree... the biggest problem with public housing, is the public they house.
