Former Kerry advisor: McCain’s POW captivity left him “sadly limited” in foreign policy experience

I’m not sure what to do with this. Obviously what he said raised someone’s eyebrow at ABC, but they don’t give us enough of a quote to know exactly what he’s saying.

While Barack Obama was urging supporters not to devalue the military service of rival John McCain on Monday, a top Democratic voice on foreign policy argued at the political arm of a liberal think tank that the former POW’s isolation during the Vietnam war has hobbled the Arizona senator’s capacity as a war-time leader.

The comments were made by Rand Beers, Sen. John Kerry’s, D-Mass., top national security adviser during his 2004 presidential run…

His voice rising, [a] questioner wanted to know if McCain understood that the public would not go along with a protracted US troop commitment to military conflicts that were not premised strictly on self-defense but rather on the expansion of freedom or democracy.

Beers said that because McCain was in an unfortunate state of “isolation” during much of the Vietnam War, his national security experience is “sadly limited.” McCain spent five years in captivity as a POW in North Vietnam.

Who is this left-wing Nazi questioner? He or she is not an American but a terrorist supporter of al-Qaeda and should be pointed out as such. We The People will not go along with terrorist supporters like this and hopefully he or she will have their government provided living expenses withdrawn.

It is obvious that McCain is stronger on national security, and thus the Democrats are trying to throw everything they can at trying to make him look weaker on that issue. The last few days have shown that.

And yet Baraq Hussein Obama claims living overseas for a few years as a child gives him foreign policy experience.

John McCain was a POW while BO was learning to ride a tricycle. I’m sure that experience expanded his foreign policy credentials.

It galls me incredibly that band-aid boy should be connected to besmirthing a real war-hero vet.

There will be huge blowback in this strategy. The loony left always overreaches.

Well yesterday afternoon on FoxNews Bob Beckle said that if he was advising BO’s campaign he’d tell Wesley to STFU! That this is a very lerge losing issue for BO’s people to critize McCain’s service especailly when BO has zero of his own service to point to. I tend to agree, all this does is point out a bunch of idiots who have no credibility pointing out that one candidate has served and the other hasn’t. I can’t imagine a Vietnam vet listening to this without being outranged!

I am a conservative, not a big McCain fan and a Navy Pilot for 26 years. General Weasley Clark has been and is a major league pussy. A perfumed Prince that wouldn’t know a leader if he was following one. When Clowns like this come after McCain I know where my donation, work and vote are going. I sure hope the rest of America sees what Barry is doing and votes accordingly.

Keep it up Rand Beers, Obummer & Gen. Weasley. I might start maybe, possibly, perhaps ~~~~ voting for McRino.

Is Obama trying to ‘Swiftboat’ McCain?
The Dems still actually believe that the Swiftboat Veterans for Truth liabled John Fraud Kerry.

Instead the SVFT helding Kerry accountable for his words, deeds and actions. None of their accounts have been disproven. Kerry to this day is unfit!

There is no doubt John McCain’s character. integrity and honor remained intact during his military service.

“...Bob Beckle said that if he was advising BO’s campaign he’d tell Wesley to STFU!”

I'm thinking Wesley has heard (and will hear) that a lot. Sadly, Wesley will persist. Maybe that's how he missed the lecture on “Posse Comitatus” when he was in school. Wesley really should sit down and be quiet, and if he can't behave, maybe we should put a dunce cap on him and sit him in time out facing the corner.

These are the same people that made John Kerry’s two days in Vietnam sound like it was the biggest most heroic thing since the landing at Normandy.
