“His voice rising, [a] questioner wanted to know if McCain understood that the public would not go along with a protracted US troop commitment to military conflicts that were not premised strictly on self-defense but rather on the expansion of freedom or democracy.”
Who is this left-wing Nazi questioner? He or she is not an American but a terrorist supporter of al-Qaeda and should be pointed out as such. We The People will not go along with terrorist supporters like this and hopefully he or she will have their government provided living expenses withdrawn.

Beers said that because McCain was in an unfortunate state of isolation during much of the Vietnam War, his national security experience is sadly limited. McCain spent five years in captivity as a POW in North Vietnam.
I think what Beers meant was that poor old McCain was locked up being tortured by the North Vietnamese instead of marching under a Viet-Cong flag at home demanding that we surrender.

His voice rising, [a] questioner wanted to know if McCain understood that the public would not go along with a protracted US troop commitment to military conflicts that were not premised strictly on self-defense but rather on The Democrats and Obama's mistake is that they think the enemies that want to kill us are simply a misguided potential voting group that can be reasoned with.
Some how, some way, that message needs to be understood by the American public before November.
