Emily Nordling has never met a Muslim, at least not to her knowledge. But this spring, Ms. Nordling, a 19-year-old student from Fort Thomas, Ky., gave herself a new middle name on Facebook.com, mimicking her boyfriend and shocking her father.
Emily Hussein Nordling, her entry now reads.
With her decision, she joined a growing band of supporters of Senator Barack Obama, the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee, who are expressing solidarity with him by informally adopting his middle name.
The result is a group of unlikely-sounding Husseins: Jewish and Catholic, Hispanic and Asian and Italian-American, from Jaime Hussein Alvarez of Washington, D.C., to Kelly Hussein Crowley of Norman, Okla., to Sarah Beth Hussein Frumkin of Chicago.
Jeff Strabone of Brooklyn now signs credit card receipts with his newly assumed middle name, while Dan OMaley of Washington, D.C., jiggered his e-mail account so his name would appear as D. Hussein OMaley. Alex Enderle made the switch online along with several other Obama volunteers from Columbus, Ohio, and now friends greet him that way in person, too.

is there a point to this? I missed it
If people are going to line me up against a wall and shoot me after Obeyme gets into office, couldn't they be somebodies more respectable than these geeks?
I wanna be shot by real goons, not geeky Obamaniacs!
PING!
I will be honest
I am not surprised at all
these idiots who are voting for Obama are complete morans, they are the dumbest voters this country has ever produced.
another reason why the voting age should be 21.
bunch of attention seekers with no brains but have you seen the homosexual looking kiddy fiddler in the back ground
Do these teeny boopers not realize that Obama is not a Frankie Sinatra or one of The Beatles ?????
...and why the vote should be further restricted to owners of real property, business owners, and military members and veterans.
thanks for your reply. bless you, good news that you won’t have to worry about him and that he’ll be spending the rest of his time back here - in America, (still) the greatest country on earth.
Morons. I will bet that half of those kids will be hungover or attached to the open end of a bong on election day next November and won’t vote.
Yes. The 15 months he spent in Iraq was the longest 10 years of my life. I’m proud of his service, but like the idea that he’ll now be training soldiers for the U.S. Army.
I hope they all get giant “Hussein” tattoos; it won’t be long after B-HO’s Nov. loss when they’ll want them removed (and their names changed back to what they were). A painful lesson, but they all need one.
LOL.
Saying fish fear me is also an overstatement. But I can dream, can’t I?
So you are a fishing lady? What species? I like them all, bass, striped bass, trout, bluegill, all freshwater fish.
I haven’t fished for many saltwater species, a few specs and redish. SUre did enjoy the few I’ve caught.
Mighty tough looking in that pink shirt.
I’ve fished all types, trout and bass especially. Caught a couple of catfish of some size as well. I joined a group here on the west coast of lady anglers for a time. They were mostly sea fishers, and although I love to fish the sea, volume isn’t the only draw for me as it was for them. Also love to crab a bit and we’re preparing for a turkey hunt pretty soon.

Hey freeper friends, Hi Heels sound like one of us!!!!
HH, ya’ll have some BIG bass in the reservoirs out your way. In fact, a few years ago a guy caught, and fileted (I believe) what could have been a new world record (I remember reading something about that). Those Florida strain bass they’ve stocked in reservoirs in California are producing monsters!!!
And you are blessed with some awesome trout fisheries too.
Which species of turkeys will you hunt? There are four in the U.S. I have shot at two eastern WTs but not hit one yet (Shhh, don’t reveal to any criminals my horrible shooting skills LOL). I have several friends who have the Grand Slam, harvested all four species, one who has done it several times.
If you are interested, some of us outdoor freepers will ping you on natural resource, hunting, fishing threads.
I live on a big lake here in Tennessee. All these absent homeowners from up north come here on holiday weekends, and you there’s NO WAY I’d fish this lake on these weekends.
Just cooked a brisket and am going to go outside now and kick back. Good to hear from you HH.
ROFL!!!!!!!!
That's what hubby cooked today! He did some cross between Texas and North (or was it South) Carolina BBQ with it.
Whatever he did with it, it is OUTSTANDING!
Nice to meet you, HH! Any friend of GA’s is a friend of mine. :)
I love to fish, too, but don’t have as much time for it these days. Back in the day, we spent a lot of time on the lakes catching Crappie, Walleye, Pumpkin Seed and Yellow Perch when my boys were younger. I never have caught anything really big aside from a Small Mouth Bass which was within 1/4” of being legal. Dang! That shore was a perty fish, LOL!
Husband has two charters scheduled for this summer for himself and his clients on Lake Michigan. They always have a blast, and the industry REALLY needs the bookings these days.
He’s been fishing in Mexico (off of Puerto Vallarta) and that was awesome. He brought back the catch and took it to a local restaurant that would cook up your catch for the day. Never had a tastier dinner in all of my life. :) (Mahi Mahi)
