WASHINGTON A group of Hispanic lawmakers Friday accused GOP presidential candidate John McCain of "flip-flopping" on immigration.
"Is it comprehensive immigration reform, or is it enforcement?" asked Iris Y. Martinez, a Democratic state senator from Illinois. "He can't have either/or it has to be one."
A McCain spokesperson denounced the accusations as "a pathetic, partisan ploy."
The comments came at a press conference during the National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials annual gathering. McCain and presumptive Democratic nominee Sen. Barack Obama are scheduled to appear before the NALEO convention separately today as they wage an aggressive battle for Latino voters.

That a group of Hispanic lawmakers Friday accused GOP presidential candidate John McCain can only help him.

Really????
With whom?
Conservatives already know who and what he is.
Do you really believe this will help him with constituency he has been courting for 7 years?
Independents and moderate Democrats, and now Clinton Democrats?

Is Hussein bad enough to make me vote for traitor McCain?
"Fortunately", I'm a California voter. If McCain, as is likely, makes zero real effort in CA...abandoning it to the Rats ..then I'm off the hook and can in good conscience vote third-party or not at all for POTUS.

There is no such 'Pubbie' animal.
If anyone is 'on the fence', as you say between those two, their either a Democrat or an Independent.

Since McCain has very little chance here in Tennessee (it has all the earmarks of Clinton-Dole redux here,) I’m off the hook also.

If anyone is 'on the fence', as you say between those two, their [sic] either a Democrat or an Independent. I have always been an 'independent' voter. As a young man more than 40 years ago, I came to a cross road in my life. At that time I decided that I did not care to belong to any criminal enterprise. An offshoot of that decision is that I will not belong to ANY political party.
Independent in no way means fence-sitter.

“Is it comprehensive immigration reform, or is it enforcement?”
In my opinion, anything “comprehensive” would INCLUDE enforcement, and my preference would be heavier on the enforcement than anything else.

Power is more important to too many in government than our
Constitutional Republic.
That is why they want democracy to make sure 51% can take
over the other 49%.

Hey Johnny, please flip-flop into a conservative, and then stop flip flopping. Thank you. You can never really trust a flip-flopper because you don't really know which flip-flopping side is the real side of the candidate. It's like when a lawyer asks a witness on the stand; so Mr. Flip-flopperare are you lying now or were you lying before you flip flopped?
