I think many or most neoliberals don’t really like themselves, primarily because they know they don’t deserve what they have. They lack a simple acceptance of their many blessings (being American one of them), and can’t/won’t acknowledge being blessed. Real happiness is seldom sensed in the ones I know. IMO, they become unknowingly self-destructive, and would take everyone down with themselves. How else can we explain the human extinction movement?
