Analysis: Faked birth certificate suggests Obama may not be US citizen

t is now a virtual certainty that the "birth certificate" claimed by the Barack Obama campaign as authentic is a photoshopped fake.

The image, purporting to come from the Hawaii Department of Health, has been the subject of intense skepticism in the blogosphere in the past two weeks.

It has become even more suspect with the revelation that variations of the certificate image were posted on the Photobucket image aggregation website -- including one listing the location of Obama's birth as Antarctica, one with the certificate supposedly issued by the government of North Korea, and another including a purported photo of baby Barack -- one of which has a "photo taken" time-stamp just two minutes before the article and accompanying image was posted on the left-wing Daily Kos blog.

That strongly suggests that Daily Kos obtained the image from Photobucket, not the State of Hawaii, the Obama family, or the Obama campaign. Photobucket is not known as a credible supplier of official vital records for any of the fifty states, and the liberties that other Photoshoppers took with the certificates confirms this.

How the hell is it official. You see a stamp and a signature on that?

Good question. And was it an American birth certificate?

What makes you think that the terms would have consistent.

From the “NO DAH” dept. I’m talking about when his mother was in KENYA! Not hawaii. Sheesh I will get out the hand puppets next time to explain the obvious.

Break out the puppets then because I'm not sure exactly what 'passport records' you could possibly be talking about. At best she would have an entry and exit stamp in her passport. But that would be in the passport only, and not in any government records somewhere. So what exactly would you be looking for to prove this claim she was in Kenya around the time of his birth?

He has a passport. The question is what birth certificate did he show to get it.
*************************************************
Until the 1980’s Birth Certificates , Social Security cards and such were simple to get ...

My father was born at home in NYC in the 1920’s ,, he was issued a BC decades later when he needed one for the WW2 draft ,, a note from his mother stating the date and place of birth was all that was needed... Until about 20 years ago you didn’t need a SS card until you went for your first job... anyone could get one by filling out the right form...

It is entirely possible that B H O’Bama’s BC was issued based on a letter from his mother... but the most likely scenario is that he was born in Honolulu and this is a big RED HERRING... I think we should investigate this further but the bad fake document is meant to occupy us...

I really like the Selective Service requirement however ,, I find it very likely that a punk like Obama would fail to register... I fail to see how we win that way however ,, nobody I know has anything from selective service saved in their files unless they registered at a time when a draft was in effect... and if Selective Service has no record of him it will be dismissed as a recordkeeping error.

Obama’s passport records were accessed by the employees of an Obama adviser.

Obama cried foul the loudest.

"Shouldn't the burden of proof be on those making the accusations and not on those being accused?"

We're not trying him for murder.

It is the candidate's responsibility to prove his citizenship, and eligibility. The FBI crimnal identification division will have to determine if he is a fugitive or felon.

They were accessed by State Department employees. I don't know who cried the loudest.

Who was studying Russian, a language of a closed community, in 1961?

Yup, you guessed it...Communist sympathisers..

If he was born in Hawaii, it just had to be after 1900.

"As long as his mother was a U.S. citizen at the time of his birth, wherever that might have been, he is a U.S. citizen"

No, that is definately not true.

When did Clinton and Bush prove their citizenship and eligibility? What form did this take? Who supervised? Who signed off?

No. They were citizens stationed with the military in the Canal Zone when he was born.

If Obama’s parents weren’t married, it wouldn’t be a legal disqualification, but the revelation might lose him some votes.

I don’t believe we ever had an illegitimate person as president (tho plenty of b@st@rds). Wasn’t Alexander Hamilton illegitimate? He was okay as our first Secretary of the Treasury.

But the form CONTENT is different irrespective of the paper stock.

Obama’s says “Date Filed By Registrar”

The REAL ones (and I’ve now seen multiples) say “Date Accepted By State Registrar”.

Now that is a change in the form content and would require a different Rev number.

We're talking Democats here. Illegitimacy would probably gain him votes.

You should visit some of the Civil War threads where the die-hard rebels start with their wacko theories on Abraham Lincoln's parentage.

“If the guy has a passport, he has an official birth certificate.”

Just an FYI. I was born in S. Korea. I do not have a birth certificate. I only have paperwork of my adoption of which does not include a BC. I was naturalized back in the early 1980s and have had a US passport since mid 1980s.

Somewhere my BC exists.....

Very interesting. Do you have a higher resolution scan. I am particularly interested in the corners. The top right corner and top left corner of your document seems to have the same misalignment of border patterns that the fake one has.
