James Hansen, one of the world's leading climate scientists, will today call for the chief executives of large fossil fuel companies to be put on trial for high crimes against humanity and nature, accusing them of actively spreading doubt about global warming in the same way that tobacco companies blurred the links between smoking and cancer.

Your hero speaks.
I guess he has to deliver the Kyoto-bucks to his sponsors before this decade long cooling trend becomes common knowledge.

He is also considering personally targeting members of Congress who have a poor track record on climate change in the coming November elections. He will campaign to have several of them unseated.
Since he is a Federal employee, he can be prosecuted for this under the Hatch Act.

I thought that Hansen had been officially discredited and his work declared a fraud. Did I miss something, or have some people not yet gotten the word?

How long are sane and rational people going to allow a public forum for madmen like this lunatic? It does not take a lot of poking around on the internet for one to discover that not only globull warming, but a lot of other envirotard claims are completely bogus. I'm sick and tired of crazy people who should be locked up in a mental asylum being given a forum for their sick and twisted ideas. In a rational world, this seriously deranged lunatic would be locked up and never heard from again.

I'm sick and tired of crazy people who should be locked up in a mental asylum being given a forum for their sick and twisted ideas.Commissar Hansen works for NASA, advises algore, and is the most influential climate "scientist" around. These crazy people haven't merely been given a forum, they actually run the asylum.

Good! Let’s get all the facts out into the open and exposed in a court of law to finally debunk this madness once and for all.
Hansen and every other Global Warmer will be shamed into obscurity and their names removed from every high place for all time.
Let’s do it!

Hansen will use the symbolically charged 20th anniversary of his groundbreaking speech to the US Congress - in which he was among the first to sound the alarm over the reality of global warming - to argue that radical steps need to be taken immediately if the "perfect storm" of irreversible climate change is not to become inevitable. This guy ought to be put on trial from inciting panic.
This fool is shouting fire in a crowded theater.
He has convinced fools that the sky is falling with out a shred of proof.

Funny, if we all just quit, if everyone who works for every oil company in any capacity closed the door, shut down the rig, parked the truck, whatever, and went home and stopped drilling, producing, refining, etc., where would Hansen and others of his ilk be?
When the ambulances stopped running, the doctors could not get to work, and billions starved, I suppose that would be a "high crime against humanity", too.
Damned if you do, damned if you don't...

The problem is that liberals control the infostructure from near-cradle to grave. The Internet has weakened their grip only a small and insignificant amount. The bad news is that even if conservatives made it a fervent cause to retake the infostructure today, it would take many years to make any real progress. All the while, the insanity will continue. It ain’t a pretty prognosis.

Ah ah those moonbats are priceless!
I love them ! They are so fancies and really seem to believe all the fairy tales like crying-babies.
Such a trial could be interesting for highlighting the hoaxs of the new environmentalist irrational ideology...

This is a wonderful idea. I totally support it. All of the evidence of man-made global warming will have to be introduced in court and COMPLETELY REFUTED BY EXPERTS, UNDER OATH, ONCE AND FOR ALL.
To: spandau-guard
James Hansen, you called for civil action. If you truly thank a case can be made the take it to court youronself. Do not simply find BIG OIL guilty by trying them in the liberal media. Go dunk your pointy head in Al Gore’s big hot swimming pool. I would suggest something else but Gore already has his head in there. On second though, there is probably room for two.
