'Ball of fire' if Iran attacked: IAEA chief

The UN atomic watchdog chief on Saturday warned that an attack on Iran over its controversial nuclear programme would turn the region into a fireball, as Tehran rejected an Israeli strike as "impossible."

ohamed ElBaradei also warned that he would not be able to continue in his role as International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) director general should the Islamic republic be attacked.

"A military strike (against Iran) would in my opinion be worse than anything else... It would transform the Middle East region into a ball of fire," ElBaradei said in an interview with Dubai-based Al-Arabiya television.

Uh! The real lyrics:
I chew my nails and I twiddle my thumbs

I’m real nervous, but it sure is fun

C’mon baby, you’re driving me crazy

Goodness, gracious, great balls of fire!!

That's usually what happens when Israel launches air strikes against something. Whatever the bombs hit turn into fireballs.

Far better to get it over with, sooner rather than later.

Hurl'em up quick.. as you would, a platter of bad clams.

Yes, it is a bad thing. If you think the price of oil is high now, it won’t compare to oil prices after an Israeli strike against Iran.

Hope beats eternal. By the time these politicians act, the economy will be in tatters. What people fail to understand is that cheap energy is the lifeblood of a thriving economy. The raising price of gasoline is really a regressive tax that sucks money out of the economy leaving people with less disretionary funds, which hurts all kinds of businesses. It sends the economy into a downward spiral.

Nothing wrong with fireballs, ElBaradei. Just as long as the right people get fireballed.

That is what we have today, a downward spin. Reality of this fact has yet to really set in for many folks. By the time the election rolls around, colder weather will cause a second sucking sound inside everyones account. Then as Q1 and Q2 of 2009 have passed, any expendable cash will have evaporated.

I wonder what Santa is bringing the bad girls and boys this year? Coal is out of the question.

A ball of fire? That is weak, Dr ElBaradei. Whatever happened to the imagination? How about a ‘Rain of Burning Bones’? Just a suggestion.

He is an Egyptian shill, what does he know? He wants nuclear proliferation, he just doesn't want an immediate war to result from it.
