Let's see, the news reports from the Midwest show people in the community working together to fill and pile sand bags and welcoming help from first responders while news reports from NO immediately after Katrina showed people sitting on their bums or shooting at USCG rescue helicopters...self-help and cooperation versus a continuous victim mentality coupled with an entitlement mentality.
