Massachusetts High School Faces Pregnancy Boom
Thursday, June 19, 2008
A Massachusetts high school is facing a pregnancy boom with 17 girls entering summer vacation expecting babies in what some have called a pregnancy pact.
Officials at Gloucester High School in Gloucester, Mass., are investigating whether half of the teens made a pact to get pregnant during the school year, Time.com reported.
Officials said that beginning last fall a large group of girls started asking the school clinic for pregnancy tests, the site said.
"Some girls seemed more upset when they weren't pregnant than when they were," principal Joseph Sullivan told Time.com.

You aren’t allowed to ask that question anymore. Minors can now consent. It is like saying that a 20 year old can drink in a bar with his 21 year old friends.
Laws are for little people these days.

The proper response to this would require a PhD dissertation. However for those of you reading this who have teenage daughters and want some unprofessional advice, here is one thing you should do.
Get rid of your Cable TV or Learn how to censor (not a bad word for teenagers) about a third of the Entertainment Shows. Some suggestions: MTV (the absolute worst), VH1 (same as MTV), The E-Channel, Others too many to mention. These show are ABSOLUTE POSION! They convey a very toxic message to young teenage girls. The damage that these programs do is not to be underestimated. They are a very powerful cultural force on young impressionable minds. Again I could write a huge essay about this but now is not the time to do it and there are many out there who are far better at this than me. This is very serious.

Its very sad to think these girls think their life is going to be so wonderful with a baby, without a husbandHave you seen the Moveon add where the girl with a baby tells McCain he can't have her baby? No man is even hinted at. It is HER baby. No man in the commercial, no wedding picture on the wall. It is the baby daddy ad.

Minors can now consentIn most states, minors have always been able to consent.

Gee, they teach kids in school that sex is fun, that you should experiment with it married or no and that there are all kids of ways to get around the 'consequences.' Then, when something like this happens, all the adminstrators stand around wringing their hands saying, "how could this have happened?"
The people running our schools are by-and-large complete idiots.

Spent a few days in Gloucester last summer, waiting out some weather on a sailing trip from Maine to CT. One evening while we were there I went to a local restaurant. I was leaving the mens room walking a few feet behind two well dressed young ladies, probably high school age. They were discussing another individual and the language they were using would make a sailor blush. Dirt bag was one of the kinder phrases used, and they were local judging by their accent. So this Gloucester story about HS pregnancies doesn’t surprise me.

It’s the “it takes a village” feminist agenda to parent hood that Hillary loves to push. No father or marriage needed. Just a sperm donator, lots of taxpayer funded welfare to pay all the bills, her parents to take care of it, and making sure you prime the children to do the samething when they get to be the same age.

Well here in Austin, one of the high schools - Johnston High is being closed and reopened under a new name because of low grades and students failing the TAKS. The district GUARANTEED that the daycare would be open for next years classes.

I never waste my time drilling down more than one layer to get relevant details of any story.
At the link given, I notice a very crucial, if subtle omission:
The ages of the (pregnant) girls is deemed irrelevant.
Boggles the mind.

I thought the Moveon baby daddy add was kind of odd coming right after Obama did his father’s day speech.
My son pointed out that had there been a father in the add, the gay and lesbian community would have been upset about Moveon promoting an outmoded family stereotype.

If the girl isnt going to college, shes having a baby, no father needed. Intentional bastardy aint just for the ghetto anymore...Empowered, I might add, by you and me.
Politicians don't spend their own money in do-goodism; they spend ours.
And then they act surprised at the mounting anger, for perpetuating another dependency welfare generation.
