At a rally for Senator Barack Obama in Detroit on Monday, two Muslim women said they were prohibited from sitting behind the candidate because they were wearing head scarves and campaign volunteers did not want them to appear with him in news photographs or live television coverage.
The Obama campaign said it quickly called the women to apologize after learning of the incident. "It doesn't reflect the orientation of the campaign," said Anita Dunn, a senior adviser to Obama. "I do not believe that mistake will be made again."
But the incident, first reported Wednesday by Politico.com, pointed to pitfalls the campaign faces as it moves into the general election and seeks to maintain control of Obama's image by tightly managing his public appearances.
The Obama campaign is vigilantly fighting erroneous information that has spread on the Internet that he is Muslim he is, in fact, Christian and emphasizing his patriotism and American story, with flags in abundance. In Washington on Wednesday, he invited photographers to his meeting with new members of his national security team and retired military officers supporting his candidacy.
The campaign on Monday barred cameras from a large gathering of African-American civic leaders Obama attended. It recently refused to provide names of religious figures with whom Obama met in Chicago and directed some of them to avoid reporters by using a special exit. And on Wednesday, the campaign orchestrated Michelle Obama's appearance on the friendly set of "The View" and a flattering spread in the pages of Us Weekly.
Obama's campaign tightens control of image and access" One of the challenges that we are confronting very directly is dealing with the rumors and the e-mails, the inaccurate information about Senator Obama and Michelle Obama," Dunn said, "and we're going to deal with that

This is not the orientation of the campaign I thought I knew.
It was a deliberate act for a particular purpose. That is not the same thing as a mistake.
This reinforces the doubts about his true principles.
My guess is that all his principles are negotiable, reversible, and expendable.
I want Barry out on a stage answering every conceivable question about his murky past and his lefty politics. I want to know why he never mentioned meeting his father in Hawaii at aged ten, even though he wrote an entire book about it, or why he never mentioned in either book that he went to Pakistan with a Muslim buddy from college, or why in the hell he doesn't know zip about the capital gains tax or the war in Iraq.
I have a bad feeling that Wright, Ayers, et al are only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the sneaky actor/Commie who wants to be POTUS. And BTW, what was the full name of his childhood mentor, Frank? And did Barry ever register with the Selective Service?
There are so many things this guy is hiding, and he plans on hiding right up until Election Day. We can't allow that to happen. It's too important and Barry is too dangerous.
If the Obama campaign bus gets stuck in a snowdrift, just throw a few principles and a couple of staffers under the wheels to get the traction he thought he knew, and away he goes!
The certainly do not want the truth about Hussein to come out.
But Barry has time to exchange email with 23 year old actresses.

Wonder if Obamarosa would like to scratch her eyes out?
No, he just knows that most of us wouldn’t like his true principles - which are Muslim and Marxist - if we knew them, so he’s just trying to hide them. His goal is power so that he can exercise those “principles.”
No folks, we've got nothing to hide, just a mistake. Sounds like that would be as open a Presidency as a Castro regime.
Obie wanted more white people in that one picture toward the beginning of the campaign, now he wants less Muslims in this picture........
B.hussein is ASHAMED of muslims they are a threat to his messianic program. If muslims truly believe in barack hussein they will stop trying to pose for pictures with godbama. He needs all his supporters to get with the program. They need more white girls to pose with him and everyone else needs to stay in the background or risk being thrown under the bus.
Debateable. Very debateable. Nominally, perhaps. Perhaps. Likely, he's not.
Too late Hussein. We already know you’re a muzzie.
