Earthquakes are not caused by Global Warming, but the two are closely related. Global Warming is caused by burning huge amounts of oil. Pumping that much oil out of the Earth is causing it to shrink and shrivel up like a prune. As it shrinks, earthquakes happen in ever increasing numbers. Therefore, the number and intensity of earthquakes is a reliable measure of the rate of Global Warming.

I tried to post that source, but the 'AP' sourcing forced the Mod to pull it.

If you google Dr. Tom Chalko you can see he's a total crackpot.

Do you have any evidence that this guy is bigger crackpot than Gore, Hanson, et al? To me, they are all one & the same.

Hmmm- Think of where civilization would be if the ancient earthquakes/volcanoes like the one that buried Pompeii and the one that buried the Minoans on Crete (now thought to have been Atlantis) and the great quake of 1906 in S.F., hadn't set progress back so far...and buried all their SUV’s an’ stuff

"In North America the great earthquakes of 1811-1812 occurred near New Madrid, Missouri. The magnitude of the quakes are not known, but they are estimated to have been about 8 on the Richter scale. There were actually three large quakes with aftershocks between and for months after. The quake was so wide-spread it was felt as far away as Boston. "

It actually rang church bells in Boston...but it didn't do much damage near the epicenter as the population was small to non-existant at the time.

I hope the sheeple are smart enough to GOOGLE the HISTORY of quakes and see they have been going on, and as big, ever since the world came into existence... http://www.readinessinfo.com/eqhistory.shtml

The analysis of more than 386,000 earthquakes between 1973 and 2007 recorded on the US Geological Survey database proved that the global annual energy of earthquakes on Earth began increasing very fast since 1990.

Or maybe the USGS has deployed more sensitive seismographs between 1973 and 2007, and adding up the total energy of all the detected earthquakes keeps on increasing, because we are detecting many more small earthquakes today than we could in 1973.

Dr Tom Chalko, global warming, global "change" and other moonbattiness generated research is about you receiving money for doing nothing. Right?

It is all about redistribution of money. Chalko, you are a fraud along with your god Algore.

Then why didn’t the Earth shake itself apart during the Medieval Warm Period, when it was even warmer than today?

Bingo!

Actually, I think it's time for a class action suit against the Goracles.

They promised warming and I was looking forward to it. Instead, it's getting colder.

The little "Medieval Warm Period" brought about the greatest time of posterity on all walks of life that they had ever experienced. The Little Ice Age, conversely, brought devastation.

Maybe...but have you also considered all the extra siesmic readings due to tunneling by the aliens, as they enlarge their UFO bases under the Himalayas, Antarctica, Mount Shasta...?

We need to get Noory's & Art Bell's opinions on this.

He has it backwards. Clearly larger earthquakes are causing global warming.

Jupiter is an anomaly. Either the warming will cause all those hydrocarbons to explode, creating a second asteroid belt; or, it will cause Jupiter to torch off, forming a dwarf star, exacerbating warming in the rest of the system.

Either way, we're doomed! Cosmic catastrophy!

And it is OUR fault Jupiter is warming! All those satellites we have orbiting are reflecting a small fraction of solar radiation away from the earth, and onto Jupiter! ;-)
