Three horrors await Americans who get behind the wheel of a car for a family road trip this summer: the spiraling price of gas, choruses of "Are we there yet?"and the road rage of fellow drivers.
Divine intervention might be needed for the first two problems, but science has discovered a solution for the third:
Watch out for cars with bumper stickers.
That's the surprising conclusion of a recent study by Colorado State University social psychologist William Szlemko.

Where do I get one of those?!?!?!?!.................
There’s a car in my area that has a bunch of peacenik type stickers on it, free speech, all that...oh, plus the “get Fox News of the air” sticker.
Only if it is a Christian prayer.
To be fair, most of the Masshole cars I've seen with a lot of stickers required them to keep the rust together.
Love it send me one
My bumper sticker says:
“My Marine can pick off your Honor Student at a Click and a Half”
Hah! There’s a car I see parked in a driveway every day, on my drive into the office, that looks just like the one in the picture. There’s so many stickers they run around the corners and are making their way forward on the car. And it’s all the usual hodge-podge of liberal causes. What kind of car? An older subaru of course.
I’ve always imagined that actually talking to that person would be nearly impossible. The irony is that there’s always some sticker about being “open minded”. Heh. Yeah, right.
I’ve always thought bumper stickers are nothing more than magnets for vandalisim.
I love pulling up next to one of those drivers whose cars have numberous lib bumper stickers on it. I'll roll down my windows, crank up the volume with Rush on and grin at them. :-)
I agree with you about that Clinton sticker. I was in the navy, and I was near Baghdad, Sept. 2004-Mar. ‘05. While I was there, I rarely heard the sailors and marines complain about our presence, in Iraq. After I returned to the U.S., I heard many people, who haven’t served in the military, complain about it.
I have a bumper sticker that says, “Guns don’t kill people; abortion clinics kill people.”
Ha! My cell phone ring tone is “Infidel”.
Have you heard it? Google it - I think you can preview it on some sites. Hilarious.
I do recall reading that some felt it was discriminatory to limit choices to male or female on applications such as a driver’s licenses. Perhaps it was that group.
The only bumper sticker I thought of putting on my car was a “Run Hillary!” bumper sticker....on the front of my car.
I don’t put any stickers on my car. I have sort of a herd animal mentality about it. I’m out there on the savannah, travelling as necessary, and I don’t want to give anyone any reason to single me out about anything. I don’t want the cops to have any special reason to look at me. I don’t want thieves or psychos or anyone to draw any conclusions from my car. I want to be incognito. I want safe passage to and from my destination. I want to travel unmolested. Hence, a clean, unmarked vehicle.
