He’s such an ass.
Students don't consume tuition. Professors and school administrators do. As soon as the government promises to pay whatever they charge, tuitions will make the oil market look like the dollar menu at McDonalds. Every school in the country will simple charge the rest of us thirty billion dollars a year to teach every kid lesbian basket weaving theory.
While suturing a cut on the hand of a 75 year old Texas rancher, whose hand was caught in a gate while working cattle, the doctor struck up a conversation with the old man. Eventually the topic got around to Obama and his bid to be our President.
The old rancher said,
‘Well, ya know, Obama is a ‘post turtle’.’
Not being familiar with the term, the doctor asked him what a ‘post turtle’ was. The old rancher said,
‘When you’re driving down a country road and you come across a fence post with a turtle balanced on top, that’s a ‘post turtle’.’
The old rancher saw a puzzled look on the doctor’s face, so he continued to explain...
‘You know he didn’t get up there by himself, he doesn’t belong up there, he doesn’t know what to do while he is up there, and you just wonder what kind of a dumb ass put him up there to begin with.’
Louis Farrakhan, at the annual Saviours' Day celebration in Chicago, Feb. 25, 2008: "This young man is the hope of the entire world that America will change and be made better"..."If you look at Barack Obama's audiences and look at the effect of his words, those people are being transformed."

Louis Farrakhan, at the Millions More Movement rally in DC, Oct 15, 2005: "...what Mao Tse Tung did was, he went to the cultural community, and they [Farrakhan spreads his arms beneficently] accepted his idea."..."Mao Tse Tung ... had a billion people whose lives he had to transform."..."the idea of Mao Tse Tung became the idea of a billion people, and China became a world power on the base of the culture and the arts community. If we had a ministry of art and culture in every city we'd create this movement [in the U.S.]."

Louis Farrakhan, Santiago de Cuba, February, 1998: "There is not a member of the black masses in the United States who is not proud of the example set by Cuba and its revolution, with Comandante Fidel at its head"

Four Legs good Two legs bad!!
I can think of six more.
1. Establishment of a “hate crimes” tribunals. Think soviet-era show trials.
2. De facto legalization of so-called homosexual marriage. States that try to prevent recognition of such marriages will either lose Federal funds, be sued in Federal court by DoJ, or both.
3. Vast expansion of affirmative action requirements.
4. Gutting of the military.
5. End of the Federal death penalty.
6. Statehood for DC.
Unfortunately, the Republicans are running a candidate that is so rotten that a significant portion conservatives (myself included) will not vote for him.
The only hope I see on the political horizon is the possible rise of a third party to challenge the Republicrats.
Barack and Michelle.
When Obama says HOPE and CHANGE, he is HOPING you won’t realize he wants to CHANGE America into a SOCIALIST state!
As much as I hate McCain, I have to vote for him - any other vote (Libertarian, Consitution, etc) is a vote for OBAMA.
We are all just going to have to get over ourselves and realize that we have to vote AGAINST Obama. That means voting for McCain. There is no other option. Voting for a 3rd party = a vote for Obama. (Remember that’s how we got Clinton) Staying home = a vote for Obama.
Obama Scares Me To Death. As much as I am not a fan of McCain, we have only those 2 choices. Obama or McCain.
If he does not respect and love the least of us - and there is no other conclusion than this - why should anyone believe he would see to the protection of each of us and our loved ones from enemies “foreign and domestic”?
To evaluate an individual, observe how he or she treats those “lesser” than his or her self...whether a waiter or waitress...or a manifestation of the glory of God in a child...
Just dead wrong. Who believes that?

I hear what you're saying.
I've stated that I can't vote for Captain Queeg-- but, honest to God, I guess I'm going to have to, anyway.
What really scares me are The New, Improved Black Jesus' supporters...
Their quasi-religious fanaticism, combined with apparent brain death, are truly ghastly to behold.
How did so many voters become so plumb stupid?
“As much as I hate McCain, I have to vote for him - any other vote (Libertarian, Consitution, etc) is a vote for OBAMA.”
Your vote is of course your own choice. In my opinion, Sen. Obama’s election is pretty much a given. The average American is far more liberal than FReepers.
So the question bercomes, where does my vote do the most good? Does it do any good to continue to support GOP candidates that represent just more of the same socialism, albeit in a slightly less radical form?
I’d rather use my vote to support a conservative political party. The GOP will NEVER reform. It doesn’t believe that it needs to. Just look at all the “conservatives” on this website throwing themselves prostrate for Sen. McCain’s candidacy and you can see that they might have a point. Why bother to change when you could nominate a tree stump and be assured that 30% of the population would vote for it? Even if the GOP were inclined to reform, it doesn’t have the capacity to do so.
