Or maybe YOU’RE just having a bad day.

You be sure and get back to me when you’re able to cite the “posters may not ask questions” part of the TOS, y’hear?

Condolences to his family. 58 is WAY too young to go. RIP.

Not my favorite reporter - though he was far, far more intellectually honest than most of the current crew. More important than that, he was a human being, a son, husband and father. THAT is what’s important.

I was acquainted with his son in college on a brief occasion or two. From what I’ve been told from others who met Tim Russert around the area, he was a pretty likable guy. This is sad news.

I thought he was fair and always asked everyone tough questions

Not me.

He didn't tell the truth on many issues.

He may not have been as hard-line in his demeanor as Peter Jennings or Walter Cronkite, but he did not help in getting truth out to the public.

He basically followed the MSM mantra in portraying the WOT as negative all the time and joined the others in not allowing the public to know the good our military is doing over there...not worthy of respect in my book.

He inspired me to want to go into political journalism, but I didn’t since the odds are so difficult and pay poor for most.

But, he was a great one.

Did he even do any reporting? Wasn’t he strictly an interviewer on MTP? In that capacity he always let his guests have their say and asked tough questions of everyone.

Sad news. He was a genuine family man and a committed journalist in his field. He will be missed.

A lot of freepers simply will not admit that there are non-liberal democrats.

A lot of freepers have difficulty understanding why non-liberals would affiliate themselves with, as you concisely stated, the party of "the Kennedys, the Clintons, the Obamas, Olberman, Soros, Kos.."

“Say’s Russert gave him a $10,000 check to benefit the Freedom concerts.”

Too bad he felt the need to keep it a secret.

Yes, I guess some might say interviewers are unbiased. LOL. All I need to do is think of Larry King to know that's not true.

Oozing with adjectives and gushing with superlatives to reveal liberal slants.

Didn't like Russert at all.

Larry King has never asked a tough question of anyone. He’s unbiased in the sense of being equally insipid with every guest.

Yep, especially in predominantly Irish Catholic South Buffalo were I actually went to HS. Many remain mostly conservative, and are hard-working, decent folks more so in the classic JFK tradition.

Some of us here still choose to remain DINO’s (as it offers more primary options, etc.) — unfortunately for many I know, it’s hard to convince them that it’s not your Grandpa’s Democrat party anymore...

R.I.P Tim Russert.

Wish your beloved Buffalo Bills could have won one while you were.
