Tim Russert, NBC journalist and political heavyweight host of "Meet the Press," has died after collapsing at NBC's Washington news bureau, a source said. He was 58 years old.
May Tim Russert rest in peace. What a shock to his
collegues, I am sure. He at least made a pretence of
being “fair and balanced”.
May God comfort his poor family.
I was thinking the same thing too. The dems were horrified when Russert asked real questions, not pre-screened biased softballs meant to make the cadidate look good, at the DNC debates. Both Hillary and Obama actually had to think sometimes and deviate from scripted answers. Hillary appeared especially agitated.
It was already exposed that alot of the questions asked by so called audience members at the open forum debates were plants by the DNC and the candidates were informed of the questions in advance.
I was looking forward to the debates being less biased with Russert. Sucks.
Prayers for Tim and his family
By now tim has talked to God and gotten the answer to his questions:
1. Reagan and GW Bush really are much smarter than some of Tims friends thought
2.Carter was is and always will be the worst President
3. Obama is a pathetic dweeb
4.Hillary didnt shoot Vince but she handed him the gun
5. Osama is in the lower realm with Saddam
I am so sorry. I know he was controversial but I always liked Tim Russert. Prayers for his family.

Russert was the best - there’s no one out there who can begin to fill his shoes. What a sad day. Prayers for his family and loved ones.
58 is way too young to go. Very sad.
Yeah I thought for sure he would have been on by now. He must be shredded to death over this. They were so close.
A lot of freepers simply will not admit that there are non-liberal democrats.
They never stop do they? Just total scumbags.
Rest in Peace and sincere condolences to Tim’s family...
I had screen captured this live during Powell's Meet the Press interview where Tim asked one too many questions and Powell booked out on him. Left Russert talking to the trees. Drudge even grabbed my screen cap and used it for his headline story. Forgot what the title was.
I am sorry he is gone and I am sorry for the loss to all people who cared about him.
That said, there are certain people here who frighten easily and some who consider themselves so intellectual as to regard the unseen world as silliness. This attitude is the most dangerous of all.
He did ask the question that unnerved Hillary the most, and brought down her ‘inevitability’. Also, he was an unabashed fan of his teams, when they were in the playoffs, he’d give them an encouraging word at the end of MTP. I have to admire that.
Hail Mary, full of grace.
Our Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb,
Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.
He was a good man. Peace be with his family.God Bless Rus.
“Especially his dad, what a miserable Fathers day hell have. Even though hes a lib Ive always liked Russert.’
I agree with you about Russert being likeable. I admired the tough questions he gave to Hillary during the debate with Obama. It seems that was the begining of the end for Hillary.
Yeah, I have to admit, right after you posted, FReeper “Retired Army” started going stark raving nutters. They yanked all his garbage, thankfully. If he hadn’t been here for eight years I would have thought he was a DU plant.
I believe Tim Russert was more responsible than anyone for Hillary becoming yesterday’s news. For that, I thank him. Godspeed Tim. While we seldom agreed, you always were tougher than most.
He’s being accused of being a ‘right wing shill’ on leftist sites. I thought he was fair and always asked everyone tough questions.
