(IsraelNN.com) Democratic presidential candidate Senator Barack Obama's half-brother Malik, living in Kenya, said Thursday that the candidate will be "good for the Jews" if he is elected the next president of the United States. Malik Obama is a Muslim living in western Kenya, the country where their father was born.

Sen. Obama has declared he is a Christian, and he is trying to erase a pro-Arab image, embellished by his middle name, which is Hussein. During his campaign, he told Jews at a Florida synagogue that his first name in Hebrew is Baruch, which means "blessed."

Barack's half-brother just said a couple of things.

He implied that Muslims have some prejudice against Jews by default and he also implied that Obama was once a Muslim.

Barack himself claimed that he never was a Muslim.

Brother of B.O.'s statement here is a gift to Conservatives, imo.

Now here's one little fact the article left out:

How many times in their lives has Obama met his Kenyan half-brother? My guess is one or none. How then can anyone take the half-brother's comments about Obama seriously - if only because he's too unfamiliar with Obama's feelings on anything, simply becasuse the two barely know each other?

Just as importantly, the half-brother's statement on Israel shouldn't be taken seriously in view of Obama's political background.

So why should the Israeli web site even bother to report this non-story?

Did Barack tell the audience the significance of his middle name in Arabic?
