The Indians seem to assimilate better than some other immigrant groups. Britain could do a lot worse.

The Indians are Britain’s most successful minority - hard working, law abiding, and highly competitive in the educational system. At the other end of the spectrum are the Moslems - derogatorily called “Pakis” - a large percentage of whom would like to blow up the country.

I believe most of these "Indians" are Muslims. Many are Pakistanis or Bangladeshis.

And it's also not clear that their rise in society quite parallels that of British Jews, who arrived at an earlier time when ethnic self-assertion wasn't as acceptable as it is today.
