Sounds like an old geezer who can't handle change. Like I said before, Indians add value to the society in which they live. Educated, smart, hard-working, family oriented willing to assimilate, for the most part. Good food.

If he's going to mouth off about non-Anglos in England, he should be able to figure out the problem group.

Not that I’m enamored of Jeffrey Archer, but I think he was trying to sell books and to compliment the Indians. After all, he was in one of the new cities sprouting like crazy in India, with US type malls and all.

It may sound weird to American ears, a comment like this being a compliment, but the Indians are not particularly hung up about the whole Jewish thingie.

No kidding. I've worked with zillions of Indians, some born and raised in the UK, the rest of them from India proper.

A few of the British-raised Indians I've met were so British I thought that there were gonna come into work pretty soon dressed for polo riding a polo pony. Indian in name only.

I guess the upper class feel more threatened by intelligent members of a hard-working culture than Muslim violence

You see, competition in upper-middle-class fields affects them directly. Bus bombings don't, because the upper class don't ride the bus. Random street violence doesn't affect them either, because they don't walk those neighborhoods
