If the republican party is annihilated in the November elections what are your political plans?

Stay with the party?

Break-away party?

I’ll take the 10% penalty on the 401K before the dems have a chance to impose a 50% tax on it.

I meant it as a half-hearted joke, but I won't be surprised to see huge numbers of "Republicans" adopt this attitude.

Including the current GOP candidate for President.

Win or lose I’m looking fo9r a real, viable alternative to the GOP. A congressional conservative caucus would be a good palce to start.

Totally different situations. In the 1970s there were still real Democrats who, although they disagreed with the Republicans on domestic issues, were still pro-America on foreign policy. In the 1990s, the Cold war was over and Al Qaeda was, for the most part - repeat, for the most part, overseas. There was no foreign policy. Right now we may not have a country after 4 years of Nobama.

France becomes more conservative and we might go liberal? That’s always the way. Libs trash the US, and we are voted back in to pick up the pieces, but it might take a nuke going off this time before it happens. I’m just going to hold on for the swing away, ‘cause it will always come back. Move over Sarandon, maybe I’LL move to France in the meantime!

I am not waiting for November. The Republican party has already moved to far to the left for my taste. I have the voter regestration card in front of me and I will be re-registering as “decline to state”.

A better question would be how are you planning on riding out the next four years. Regardless who wins we will have another major terrorist attack on our shores. The terrorist will need to test the new President and I don’t hold out much hope for a proper response. Even if McCain is in office a Democratic Congress is not going to authorize anything other then a symbolic responce (as what Clinton did).

Regardless who wins, taxes are going up.

Regardless who wins, we will have new laws and regulation governing our lifes.

Regardless who wins, “climate change” will become our national religion.

Regardless who wins, the middle class is going to take it in the shorts.

Regardless who wins, the sitting President is going to get blamed for whatever happens.

Considering post after post of so-called conservative freepers kissing mclame’s rear, they will take on that mentality.

First things first. Launder my money to off shore accounts, preferrably in a currency other than dollars.

No kidding, meyer -- that's a scary thought, but it's the exact same thing I've been thinking for months. Because smart people provide for their own later years -- knowing that SS will be bust long before then -- the Dems can't just stand by, watching trillions in personal investment "idly sit by." They will find a way to make it taxable, and the libs and RINO apologists will find a way to make it palatable to the sheep. As for me.... Do what we always do, keep on fighting. You win some, you lose some, but you stick by your principles and don't give up. Yes, it's tempting to wash one's hands of the whole dirty, stinking business, but where are we going to go? This is still the best country to be in, still the best place to live and raise a family. Sure, Obama and the ‘Rats may clean our clocks in ‘08, it's happened before (’64,’44, ‘40, ‘36, ‘32, etc.), but we're still here. We've only truly lost if we quit.

Buy a sandwich board and paint “All is lost! Repent! John 9:14, etc.” on it and walk around downtown mumbling. :)

I will sit back and watch the Democratic Party totally screw up in every category of government for four to eight years. At that time most Americans will be so disgusted with that party that the a new conservative movement will sweep this country like never before.

For awhile, I was going to hold my nose and vote for McCain, only on the reason of Supreme Court judges. But once I thought about it, how can McCain install conservative judges when the Democrat Senate and House, which will be run by them, will not ever okay one of John's nominees. So let them have the White House as well as Congress and let them take responsibility for ALL the coming screw ups.

As always the majority of the sheeple believe in Newtons law that (paraphrase) “An object in motion tends to remain in motion” In this Case the object is the Republican Party and the motion is down.

In 1994 the libs were decimated in the Congress but in only 2 short years they re elected a president and have made spotty gains in the Congress culminating in retaking it in 2006. There will be another massive shift at some point in the near future, I believe because the stakes are so much higher now and any mistakes will be more noticeable more quickly.

The very thing that worked for the liberals in the past will work equally well against them from now on and that is the controlling of the news cycle. They can no longer do it and the one thing the left cannot have known is the truth. More people have more access then ever before and the numbers are growing exponentially.

The free exchange of information, all information also works to insure freedom and defeat the likes of “The Manufactured One” or as he is more commonly known, “The Messiah”

I left about a eight months ago and became an independent.

I left before the '06 election when they tried repeatedly to force amnesty down the throats of the American people. That was the final straw.
