Now VMF 214 is stationed at MCAS Yuma, Az. and are flying the AV8B Harrier aircraft.
Besides drinking, Pappy loved to fight anybody and everybody when he was intoxicated. He was a real MARINE’s MARINE.
But his personal history is a little more messy than is being depicted here.
But the guy is a real hero in my eyes!
Oh No the cool-aid man!
Hey, I think that should say “Just say No to “O”
LOL
How are you today?
we had a GREAT turnout yesterday for the CSA Memorial Ceremony at ANC,especially given that it was over 100 degrees & 98% humidity at 3PM.
about 250 people stayed to the end. numerous elders LEFT before the ceremony ended due to heat prostration.
fyi, i drank over 5 liters of ice water between noon & the HOT end of the ceremony. i was NOT alone in that.

Press Release for June 14th "We Support Our Troops" Rally in Pullman, Washington
Later this year, many Palouse-area National Guard troops will be deploying to Iraq. Theyll be spending long months away from their family and friends, doing difficult and dangerous work.
Before they leave, let's show our local servicemembers how much we appreciate them! Come to the Pullman Troop Support Rally at Reaney Park on Saturday, June 14th, from 10:00 to noon, to meet our local troops and wish them well.
If you'd like to write letters or send care packages to our soldiers while they're deployed, be sure to visit with the volunteers who are setting up a local troop support group. Theyll be at Reaney Park in Pullman from 10:00 to noon on Saturday, June 14th.
If you have any questions, [please FR mail La Enchiladita for contact info.]
Lets make this the best troop support rally ever . . . well see you there!
Please spread the word, dear Canteeners... thank you so much!!!

I read your good news about the car and inspection. Glad it worked out.
If this heat keeps up down here, I'm going to have to become a snow-bird in reverse! LOL
Come north during the summer and back home during the winter.
Wanted to say hello before I logged off to head home.
Try not to work too hard, ya hear.

WOW!
THANK YOU!
That is an awesome website. Everyone who visits it will see why I consider Audie Murphy one of our greatest wartime heroes. I learned about him when I was a kid and saw his movie ‘To Hell and Back’ at the theater. It was a magnificent soul stirring experience.
I’ve bookmarked that site and will get the CD.
Thank you, again.

You’re welcome! There are a lot of outstanding videos at that site; I go there often.
Audie Murphy, what a gutsy guy.
God Bless you Mike, and thank you for your service to our nation. You and your fellow soldiers are in my prayers. Thanks Kathy, for the ping, and thank you Meg, for the post.
