LITTLE ROCK - Arkansas Lt. Gov. Bill Halter issued a statement Saturday endorsing Barack Obama for the Democratic presidential nomination, but the political endorsement was e-mailed from a government computer at his state office.Arkansas law prohibits the use of government resources for political purposes.
When asked about the e-mail, Halter spokesman Garry Hoffmann said it was his idea and his mistake.
"I guess I should have sent it from my home computer. I just wasn't thinking," Hoffmann said. "If that's a screw up, sorry. I'm kind of new at this."
Hoffmann, who has worked for Halter since December, said he went to the office because it had all the media e-mail addresses he needed. He said Halter authorized him to go to the office but must have assumed that Hoffmann was going to get the media addresses, then go home and send the endorsement from there.

Just a Democrat. Nothing to see here, move along.
I think the idea of endorsing Obama will get them into more trouble(with the voters), than the method they used to endorse him.
It’s gonna be a looooong summer.
Hoffmann’s ending phrase , “I’m kind of new at this!”
( (( sounds like it could be said of someone else in this fight )) )
“Was that wrong? Because I have to claim ignorance on this one.”
-George after being caught in the act with the company cleaning lady, “Seinfeld.”
Oh yeah. A long hot summer. And the general election is still five months out.
